    摘要: A frictional false twister is disclosed. The twister has a plurality of rotating friction plates located between the nip of the front rollers and the yarn guide. The friction plates are staggeringly arranged for rubbing a twisted yarn. The spinning direction of the twisted yarn is opposite to the rotating direction of the friction plates. Through the action of the frictional false twister, the twist of the yarn between the false twisting device to the front nip can be increased, shortening the twisting triangle height, and increasing the spinning strength. As the yarn and the outer surface of the friction plate make relative sliding and rubbing, the friction damping force correspondingly reduces the spinning tension in the twisting triangle.

The false twist device comprises at least three sets of disks that are each arranged on an axle for rotation in the same direction. The axles are arranged to form an equilateral polygon such that the disks overlap in the center of the polygon. To keep a yarn tension as low as possible at a high yarn speed, the circumferential surface of the disks is the zone of a sphere or a torus with a circumferential surface radius that has a magnitude of at least 35 times the diameter of the twisted yarn.

    摘要: A disk combination which permits a thread false-twisting device to be operated at a high withdrawal speed is disclosed. The false-twisting device has three parallel rotatable shafts. On a first shaft is a first inlet guide disk for guiding entering thread into a thread path. A second inlet guide disk on a second shaft guides the thread along the path. After the second inlet guide disk, a first working disk on the first shaft begins false-twisting the thread. The first working disk may be one of five working disks, each of which is positioned in the rotational direction from the preceding disk. After the last of the working disks the exiting thread contacts an outlet guide disk, also positioned in the rotational direction from the preceding disk. The disks may be made of a soft material, such as polyurethane, or may be rigid disks coated with a hard material such as nickel containing diamond particles. The thread can be drawn through the device at a speed in excess of 600 meters per minute.

    摘要: A friction false-twisting unit has three upstanding parallel shafts supported on a base plate. Each shaft carries a plurality of friction disks and the disks are overlapping and interleaved for applying a false twist to filament yarn drawn through the array of disks where they overlap. To damp the oscillation of the entire false twisting unit, it is fastened to the machine bed through interposed damping elements. There is a holding mandrel on the base plate which passes through a guide sleeve. The guide sleeve is, in turn, attached to the mount via the damping elements. With the false-twisting unit absent, the damping elements tilt the guide sleeve and when the unit is in place, its weight in use returns the guide sleeve to a correct orientation, so that the plane of the side of the drive whorl on one of the shafts is parallel to the plane of the tangential drive belt for that shaft where that belt passes the drive whorl.

    摘要: A false-twist apparatus has three parallel shafts carrying interleaved sets of friction disks interconnected by drive belts for joint rotation; one of these shafts is journaled in a stationary mounting plate while the others are journaled in a carrier pivotally connected with that plate for swinging about a fulcrum offset from the three shaft axes whereby two of the disk sets can be separated to facilitate the introduction of a yarn into the intervening twisting region. A whorl on the carrier-supported shaft nearest the fulcrum is normally driven by frictional contact with a continuously moving tangential belt but is disengaged from that belt in the swung-out position of the carrier so that the disks are arrested during introduction of the yarn.

    摘要: A friction false twist apparatus is provided which may be readily threaded-up during operation, and which includes at least three spindles mounted for rotation about fixed axes, with each spindle mounting a plurality of circular discs, and with the discs overlapping at a central location between the spindles. The spindles are concurrently rotated by a common endless drive belt, and a movable yarn deflecting means is provided for selectively moving a yarn from an inoperative laterally spaced position where thread-up may be effected, to an operative path of travel disposed centrally between the spindles and wherein twist is imparted to the yarn by contact with the rotating discs. There is also provided a fixed yarn guide for guiding the yarn from the operative path of travel to a position exteriorly of the area encompassed by the endless drive belt, whereby thread-up may be effected without manually threading the yarn through either the overlapping discs or the endless belt.

    摘要: A false-twist spindle friction disc comprises an annular rotor member whose lateral surfaces are machined to form coupling means and which is made of a highly rigid, centrifugal-force-resistant, high melting point material, and a support base made of a thermoplastic synthetic resin surrounding the annular rotor member while leaving the outer peripheral portion of the latter exposed. With the annular rotor member used as a core, the synthetic resin support base is formed by injection molding so as to unit them together. The presence of the coupling means formed in the lateral surfaces of the annular rotor member adds to the firmness with which the annular rotor member and the support base are united together.

    摘要: Disclosed is a friction false-twisting device comprising three parallel rotatable shafts disposed at vertexes of a regular triangle and a plurality of friction discs having a yarn contacting surface made of ceramic disposed on the rotatable shafts. Each friction disc comprises a pair of parallel end surfaces, having a large distance T(mm) between the end surfaces in a range between 5 and 8 mm, a curved surface disposed at a position between said parallel end surfaces having a large radius of curvature R(mm) in a range between 5 and 8 mm and a pair of connecting surfaces formed between the end surfaces and the curved surface having a small radius of curvature r(mm) in a range between 1/6 R and 1/2 R. The surface roughness of the yarn contacting surface is formed in a range between 1.sup.s and 6.sup.s, defined by Japanese Industrial Standard. The friction discs and the shafts are arranged so that, when utilizing this false-twisting device, yarn can be false-twisted at a speed higher than 400 m/min, yarn breakages and fluffs in the textured yarn are decreased, and the yarn quality of the textured yarn is high and uniform.

    摘要: Apparatus for friction false-twisting synthetic filaments is described wherein the yarn travels over coaxial hemispherical surfaces inverted with respect to each other and having a gap between them into which projects the edge of a disc. Parallel shafts, respectively carrying an element formed with the surfaces and the disc are carried by a bearing unit beneath which the shafts carry rollers with a driving belt travelling between them. To economize in machine space the bearing unit is mounted to turn about an axis displaced from the axis of one of the shafts towards the belt. The unit can be swivelled from a central position in which the rollers are clear of the belt to positions on each side thereof in which the rollers contact the belt. Means are provided for latching the bearing unit in each of these three positions. In operation, only one of the rollers is fixed to its shaft. Means are provided for locking or freeing each roller to its shaft as required by the nature of the required twist.
