    摘要: A method and associated textile machine are provided to produce a roving having a protective twist from a fiber bundle fed to a consolidating means. The produced roving is wound with a winding device onto a tube arranged at a winding position. After the wound tube has been fully or partially wound with the roving, a tube change is initiated. During the tube change, the wound tube is removed from the winding position and an empty tube is moved into the winding position. During the tube change, the roving is wound onto the wound tube at least until the roving comes into contact with the empty tube as a result of the tube change such that the production of the roving is not interrupted during the tube change. During the tube change, the roving is wound onto the wound tube in a region that lies outside a region last wound prior to the tube change.

    摘要: Nanofiber based sensors are described that can be used to detect analytes in biological or non-biological contexts. Each sensor includes at least two nanofiber yarns that are spaced apart from one another so as to avoid electrical (or physical) contact. Each nanofiber yarn of the nanofiber sensor includes a sensing region that is in electrical contact with the rest of the corresponding nanofiber yarn. The sensing regions of the at least two nanofibers are treated with complementary sensing agents so that when the sensing regions (and the corresponding sensing agents) are exposed to the analyte to be detected, an electrical response is detected. This response is then communicated through one or more of the nanofiber yarns for interpretation by a processor.

    摘要: A frictional false twister is disclosed. The twister has a plurality of rotating friction plates located between the nip of the front rollers and the yarn guide. The friction plates are staggeringly arranged for rubbing a twisted yarn. The spinning direction of the twisted yarn is opposite to the rotating direction of the friction plates. Through the action of the frictional false twister, the twist of the yarn between the false twisting device to the front nip can be increased, shortening the twisting triangle height, and increasing the spinning strength. As the yarn and the outer surface of the friction plate make relative sliding and rubbing, the friction damping force correspondingly reduces the spinning tension in the twisting triangle.

Thus compacted and condensed rovings are then combined, twisted and wound up as mock yarns. A core thread can be introduced into each roving or into at least one of the rovings upstream of the last pair of drafting rolls or immediately upstream of the condensing unit for a core mock yarn.

    摘要: A spinning machine has a third guide eye rail, a third balloon-confining ring rail and a traveller ring rail each of which may be operated by a flexible member from a windless drum and the latter can have an electric motor drive. According to the invention, instead of storing all of the points defining the time course of the movement of the rail, a selected number of points such as starting points for the mean path and amplitude, one or more envelopes, and the amplitude or double amplitude of the oscillation superimposed upon the mean path are determined and a corresponding time course is generated. From the time course at given times determined by the oscillation, the maxima and minima of the path is produced by the evaluation and control unit and used to reverse the motor which raises and lowers the respective rail. By eliminating the need to fully plot and store points representing the entire path, the storage capacity of the computer of the unit can be more limited and control is more reliable and precise.
