摘要： A weft filament is inserted as a pick in a weft direction into a shed formed between groups of warp filaments extending and generally traveling in a warp direction, and is beaten into the warp filaments by a comb to form a woven textile. A defective pick is removed from the warp filaments by a system comprising at least one stripping nozzle directed generally upstream in the warp direction and connected to a supply that feeds compressed gas to the nozzle so the gas is expelled therefrom as a jet directed generally upstream in the warp direction over the defective pick to dislodge same from the warp filaments. The defective pick is then withdrawn in the weft direction from the shed after it is dislodged from the warp filaments by the nozzle.

An air flow passage is provided to merge in the guide space in such a manner than the weft yarn lying in the guide space is forced into the air flow passage to be removed under the influence of air stream developed through the guide space, thereby surely removing a mispicked weft yarn from the warp shed.

摘要： An air jet weaving machine has a weft deflector (7, 90, 23, 22) to keep the weft yarn away from the shed after the occurrence of a disturbance. The deflector is disposed between the picking nozzle (61) and the weft yarn entry into the weft duct (12). Before the discharge orifice of the picking nozzle (61) in the rear position of the sley (10) a rod-like yarn guide (90) extends as far as the shears (8), deflects the yarn into the funnel (23) and introduces the yarn into the shears (8). Thanks to the provision of the yarn guide (90), the weft yarn can be parted off by a single pair of shears (8) both after a normal pick and after a deflection. The weft yarn (5) is deflected by a blowing nozzle (7) transversely to the picking nozzle (61) by way of the yarn guide (90) and is removed by way of a funnel (23).

摘要： In a shuttleless air jet loom, a method for preventing a weft yarn having therein a defective portion, such as a too thin or too thick portion falling outside a predetermined range of limits, from being inserted into the shed and therefore woven in the fabric, is disclosed.In normal weaving operation, the weft yarn is monitored by a weft yarn sensor which is provided in the path of the weft yarn passage, and the weaving operation of the loom is interrupted when the sensor provides a signal representing a defective portion in the yarn. The yarn thus having the defect is deflected from its normal passage when it is to be picked into the shed. After the defective weft yarn has been disposed of, the loom is reversed to a shed-opening position where restarting of the weaving operation of the loom may be effected smoothly.
