摘要： A thread routing mechanism for needle-switchable type sewing machine is installed on a needle bar switching mechanism of the sewing machine, and includes a thread take-up lever, a cylindrical needle bar case and a plurality of threads. The thread take-up lever includes a sway control end and a thread take-up end having thread holes. The cylindrical needle bar case has a rotation axis and a plurality of spaced needle bar holes, and internally defines a hollow space. The needle bar holes are equally distant from the rotation axis, and each receives a needle bar therein. The needle bars respectively carry a needle having an eye formed thereon. The threads are separately routed through a thread course defined by the thread holes, the hollow space and the needle eyes, such that the length of the threads in the thread course maintains same without being affected by a needle bar switching operation.

摘要： A sewing machine having a reciprocatory needle and a reciprocatory thread-take-up device to deliver thread to the needle employs a thread control device located between the thread take-up device and the needle to engage and apply light tension to the thread. The thread control device can have an opposed plate and spring wire between which the thread runs and which cooperate to apply spring pressure to the thread. Downstream thereof a thread brush can be employed through which the thread runs. The thread can be further lightly tensioned and laterally positioned by the thread brush. The guide plate or other device can include catcher structure to catch thread escaping the take-up device. The thread control device can help control premature descent of the thread and improperly tensioned stitches.

摘要： A sewing machine including a needle that is supplied with an upper thread. A drive element drives the needle to perform a reciprocating movement in order to carry the upper thread through a sewing material that is advanced between the upper thread and the lower thread, so that the upper thread forms a loop beneath the sewing material. A shuttle houses a lower bobbin for the lower thread and a shuttle arm on the shuttle which catches in the loop of the upper thread and carries the upper thread around the lower bobbin, so that a stitch is executed on the sewing material. A thread tensioning and take-up lever on each stitch draws the loop tight so that a knot is formed in the sewing material by interaction of the upper thread and the lower thread. A thread feeder feeds the upper thread to the needle and a control element on each stitch causes the thread feeder at the beginning of a stitch to advance a predetermined length of upper thread, including an excess thread, and at the end of the stitch to correct the length of the upper thread by recovering the excess upper thread, or advancing the further upper thread required.

The thread take-up lever guard prevents a needle thread carried on a selected thread take-up lever from being caught by an adjacent thread take-up lever assuming a standing posture or is tangled with another needle thread carried on the standing thread take-up lever. The thread take-up lever guard comprises a separator disposed on the support such that every adjacent two thread take-up levers may be isolated from each other over a predetermined range of routes along which the take-up levers reciprocate. The separators are notched at positions where thread holes of the thread take-up levers are situated when the thread take-up levers are assuming predetermined standing postures.
