摘要： A method of grinding a plurality of tufting blades of a blade assembly is disclosed. The plurality of tufting blades can be received within a blade block during grinding. The blade assembly can have a first axis, a second axis that is parallel to the first axis, and a third axis that is perpendicular to each of the first and second axes. Each tufting blade of the plurality of tufting blades can have a length that extends along the first axis, a width that extends along the second axis, and a thickness that extends along the third axis. The plurality of tufting blades can be spaced from each other along the third axis. The blade block can include at least one fastener that is configured to retain the plurality of tufting blades in respective fixed positions relative to the blade block.

摘要： An apparatus to facilitate the instruction of quilting techniques includes a background pattern and a stitching pattern printed on a fabric panel. The fabric panel may be a length of fabric configured to receive inks which define the background pattern and the stitching pattern. The background pattern may be a plurality of geometric shape arranged to simulate one or more quilted fabric designs such as those designs found on a typical quilted fabric. The stitching pattern includes at least one quilting stitching design which defines a guideline for stitching the stitching pattern. The apparatus also includes at least one instructional mark printed on the fabric panel. The instructional mark defines a quilting instruction which guides a user in stitching the stitching pattern.

摘要： Needlepoint sheet having channel perforations with octagonal upper and lower openings. Thread drawn through a channel in a diagonal direction is pulled over a flat surface which widens the area covered by the thread. The needlepoint sheet is made of a polymeric material. The perforations are preferably formed into a plurality of aligned rows for receiving the thread. Each channel is enclosed by eight sides which form octagonal upper and lower openings. The width of each of the sides is substantially equal. In a preferred embodiment of the invention each of the sides form a plane, and the height of each of the side planes is substantially equal. In a preferred embodiment of the invention each of the side planes merge along a curved portion of the wall. This distributes the stress during bending of the needlepoint sheet, and reduces cracking and breakage thereof. In use thread is extended through the channels. At least two of the diagonal sides of each channel are normal to the diagonally positioned portion of the thread. The normal side over which the thread is drawn widens and thus maximize the coverage of the diagonally positioned portions of the thread supported thereby.

摘要： A predetermined symmetrical pattern is sewn on a canvas by applying a flexible adhering sheet having printed thereon indications of a gridwork corresponding to the gridwork of the canvas. The flexible sheet is of substantially smaller area than the canvas and indicates STITCHES and paths to be followed. The edges of the flexible sheet gridwork are aligned with the canvas gridwork while they are joined together. The canvas is then sewn with a first set of stitches to establish paths and STITCHES illustrated by the paths on the flexible sheet. The flexible sheet is removed and a second set of stitches is sewn to complete the paths established by the first set of stitches.
