摘要： A sensor suitable for optical turbidity measurements is described. The sensor is suitable for use in a water-bearing domestic electrical appliance (e.g. washing machine or dishwasher) and allows the temperature dependence of the turbidity measurements obtained by means of a first light detector to be compensated for. To this end, the sensor implements, in addition to a turbidity-measuring path along which a measuring-light beam is sent through a measuring space containing the turbid medium to a first light detector, a reference measuring path along which a reference light beam is transported to a second light detector which is thermally coupled with the first light detector. A heat-equalizing element can ensure that any temperature differences between the two light detectors are minimized. Both light-measuring paths can run in some regions inside the same solid-material light-conducting structure.

摘要： A laundry washing machine and method utilize a fluid property sensor to sense a fluid property of a fluid during a wash cycle to sense the level of detergent remaining in a load and control a rinse operation performed thereafter based upon the sensed fluid property. In some instances, the fluid property may be sensed while the load is being spun at a rate sufficient to cause fluid to be released from the load such that the sensed fluid property is based at least in part on fluid that was previously absorbed into the load. In addition, in some instances, the fluid property may be sensed during a spin phase of a wash cycle to selectively cause a wash cycle to selectively revert to an additional rinse phase when required, or otherwise proceed directly to the remainder of the spin phase to complete the wash cycle.

摘要： A cleaning appliance and method for operating a cleaning appliance with a rotatable, non-ribbed drum for the pre-treatment and main treatment of textiles. The method comprises a step of supplying a feed signal for feeding a cleaning liquid into a suds container until a predetermined initial fill level is reached. A saturation action causes the textiles to be pre-treated to be saturated with the cleaning liquid. The method includes reading in a fill level signal that represents a fill level of the cleaning liquid, and supplying a further feed signal for feeding the cleaning liquid into the suds container until a target fill level is reached. A motion signal causes a rocking rhythm of the drum for pre-treating the textiles to be pre-treated. After the pre-treatment, an unlocking of a drum door takes place in order to allow additional textiles to be added for a main treatment of the textiles.

Based on the one or more images, a determination is made whether a water pressure provided to the fluid circulation system is above a predetermined minimum water pressure.

The washing machine includes a tub; a drum configured to be rotatable inside of the tub; a detergent supplier configured to supply a detergent to the tub; a water supplier configured to supply a water to the tub; an optical sensor provided under the tub, wherein the optical sensor includes a light emitting element and a light receiving element configured to selectively receive a plurality of visible rays having different wavelengths and an infrared ray among a light emitted from the light emitting element; and a controller configured to control the water supplier to supply the detergent and the water to the tub and rotate the drum during a washing. In addition, the controller may reduce the washing time based on the sum of the received intensities of the plurality of visible rays and the received intensity of the infrared ray.
