Abstract:
The invention relates to a system of producing MFC (micro fibrillated cellulose) having a process device (30) of a pulper, a refiner or a screen configured to process MFC suspension to consistency of 0.5-5%. The system has a continuous pressing means (15; 25, 26) configured to dry the MFC suspension to a consistency of 6-60%. A method of producing MFC has at least one process stage (30) which processes a MFC suspension to a consistency of 0.5-5% by a process device (30). In the process stage the MFC suspension is pulped in a pulping stage in a pulper and/or refined in a refining stage by a refiner and/or screened in a screening stage by a screen. The MFC suspension having the consistency of 0.5-5% is dried in a drying stage of continuous pressing (15, 25, 26) by continuous a pressing device (15, 25, 26) to a consistency of 6-60%.
Abstract:
The invention relates to manufacturing low weight high quality paper suitable for use as a support layer of a release liner. A paper web is formed from pulp slurry, the moisture content of the paper web is reduced by a press section (PSEC), the paper web is supported by a belt (BELT1) from a first contact point (CP1) in the press section (PSEC) to a first separation point (SP1) in a drying section (DSEC), and the paper web is dried to form paper. The temperature profile of the paper web may be non-decreasing. When supported, the temperature of the paper web of the paper web may be higher than or equal to 56° C. to obtain a paper web having a dry content of at least 40 wt.-% at the first separation point.
Abstract:
Assigning slots to nodes in a mesh network. Slot numbers are assigned to nodes in a wireless mesh network using a depth-first search combined with information on 2-hop neighborhoods for each node. Assigning slots using 2-hop neighborhood information allows slots to be safely reused. The slot assignment process may take process in parallel using different wireless channels for different subtrees rooted to a controller. Slot assignment may be repeated when the mesh topology changes. Reporting using the slot numbers allows for information from child nodes to be aggregated or filtered at parent nodes.
Abstract:
A twin wire press for dewatering solid-liquid suspensions, such as pulp suspensions, between top and bottom webs is described herein which includes consecutive primary, secondary and tertiary dewatering sections. The primary dewatering section includes a wedge area. The secondary dewatering section is positioned adjacent to the primary section downstream therefrom and includes grooved rolls in an s-roll configuration. The tertiary dewatering section includes rolls in a scissor-nip configuration. The press rolls in the secondary and tertiary section are all supported onto a frame. Whenever maintenance is to be performed on any one of the grooved rolls or on the press roll assemblies, an overhead crane can for example be used since no frame structure is provided on top thereof.

Abstract:
A transfer apparatus is disclosed for transferring a light weight web from a dewatering section to a Yankee dryer. The transfer apparatus includes a looped transfer blanket which is disposed between the dewatering section and the Yankee dryer for supporting and transporting the web from the dewatering section towards the Yankee dryer. The dewatering section includes a press which defines a press nip for the passage therethrough of the web. The press nip assists in dewatering the web and guides the web. A press felt extends through the press nip and the transfer blanket also extends through the press nip. A roll is disposed downstream relative to the press nip for transferring the web from the transfer blanket and for guiding the web towards the Yankee dryer.
Abstract:
In order to provide a smoothing press apparatus suitable to be applied to a closed draw type paper machine for allowing the surface of the wet paper to be smoothed and papermaking to be performed in a high speed,[Means for Achieving the Object] the smoothing press apparatus 100 is mounted on a last stage of the press part 11 of the closed draw type paper machine, and includes a smoothing press 17 having a pair of press rolls 23 and 25, a smoothing belt 27 interposed between the smoothing press 17 together with the wet paper W to smooth the surface of the wet paper, and a wet paper conveyer felt 21 for conveying the wet paper W and passing over it to the smoothing belt 27.
Abstract:
A method of manufacturing a press felt, a press section, and a press felt. The press felt comprises a base structure (11), a batt fibre layer (12) being attached to a first, web-side surface (B) of the base structure. Further, the structure of the press felt is compacted by treating it with a polymer material at least on the side of the first felt surface (B). After the polymer treatment, the surface of the felt is ground smooth.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a smoothing press for a paper machine and a press for a paper machine with a smoothing press as well as a paper production method. At a final stage of a press section (2) of a paper machine, wet web (1) with one face thereof retained by elastic members (13, 14) is pressed by the nip section of a pair of press rolls (12a, 12b) having a surface formed from a rigid material.
Abstract:
Press section of a machine for producing a fiber material, web and process for guiding a fiber material web through the press section. The press section includes at least two double-felted presses arranged in series in a travel direction of the fiber material web. An upstream one of the at least two double-felted presses may include a deflection-controlled shoe press roll and a suction roll, and the deflection-controlled shoe press roll and the suction roll may be arranged to form an upstream press nip. The process may include guiding the fiber material web through a press nip of an upstream one of the at least two double-felted presses formed by a deflection-controlled shoe press roll and a suction roll.
