    摘要: A mobile track leveling, lining and tamping apparatus comprises a frame assembly mounted on undercarriages and mounting a tamping head, a track shifting unit and a reference system for controlling the track leveling and lining by the track shifting unit, and a drive for advancing the frame assembly in the working direction along the track. The frame assembly comprises a main frame and an auxiliary frame mounted on at least one of the undercarriages, one end of the main frame being adjacent one end of the auxiliary frame. A coupling is arranged between the ends of the main and auxiliary frames to permit at least temporary adjustment of the spacing between the frame ends and relative movement between the frames in the working direction. Track surfacing equipment is mounted on the auxiliary frame and the drive comprises a drive for the auxiliary frame. A control is operatively associated with the auxiliary frame drive for selectively driving the auxiliary frame with the main frame and relative to the main frame.

    摘要: A track renewal train includes a vehicle bridging an intermediate right of way section between an old and a new track section, and this vehicle carries rail spreaders as well as equipment arranged in succession for removing the ties of the old track section, for lowering the level of, and planing, the ballast in the intermediate right of way section and for laying the ties of the new track section. The ballast lowering and placing equipment includes a ballast planing shield mounted on the vehicle and having a width at least equal to the length of the ties of the new track section, a ballast conveyor elevator associated with the ballast planing shield, the elevator extending over the width of the shield and having an input end adjacent the front end of the shield and an output end at the trailing end of the shield, and a ballast dumping conveyor arranged to receive ballast from the output end of the elevator. The ballast dumping conveyor bridges over the spread rails guided in the longitudinal direction of the train and has ballast outlets laterally outwards of the spread rails or in the cribs of the new track section.

    摘要: A mobile leveling, lining and ballast packing machine for the non-stop correction of a track comprises a pair of elongated vibratory ballast compacting plates extending along the tie ends at each side of the track and arranged cooperatively to compact the ballast therebetween, a fine correction track lifting and lining unit between the plates, a coarse correction track lifting and lining unit forwardly of the fine correction unit, a first ballast plow and shaping unit associated therewith for moving ballast inwardly from the tie ends during operation of the coarse correction unit, a second ballast plow and shaping unit rearwardly of the fine correction unit, and ballast tampers compacting ballast against the tie ends rearwardly of the second ballast plow and shaping unit. A stationary reference system controls the track correction and includes a series of marker posts mounted along the track, a tensioned reference line supported on the posts, and elements releasably holding the tensioned reference line and for adjusting its vertical and lateral position whereby respective reference line sections may be readily mounted, dismounted and adjusted during movement of the machine. A sensor unit is associated with the correction unit and cooperates with, and senses, the tensioned reference line.

    摘要: A self-propelled road and rail vehicle has four retractable rail wheels and has four pneumatic-tired drive wheels which are used for road travel and which ride on the rails during rail travel to produce high tractive effort for driving various roadbed maintenance and rehabilitation equipment. Such equipment may include a ballast distributing plow carried at the front of the vehicle and a track broom at the rear carried by head blocks on the vehicle, and in particular, has a side ballast-working wing mounted on an adjustable carrier at each side of the vehicle. All are controlled hydraulically from the vehicle cab, and have operating positions for use on the roadbed and transport positions within limited road travel dimensions. Each ballastworking wing has front scarifying teeth to break up compacted ballast on a side bank of the roadbed, two sets of discing elements to work and redistribute the loosened ballast of the side bank, and a mold board behind the disc units for reshaping the side banks. Each such wing is supported from the vehicle frame by an adjustable carrier providing both lateral and tilting adjustment over a wide range, and movement between operating and travel position, and the wing is readily removable for replacement by other bank-dressing units.
