摘要： The cutoff device is provided for crane systems, especially a dredger to which a grab 1 is attached. Grab 1 has a cable 5 connected to it, which is guided over pulleys 4, 7 and kept under tension with the help of a weight 9. One of the two pulleys 4 is provided with an initiator 12 that has segments mounted on its periphery, so pulses are generated by the rotation of pulley 4 past the initiator and the drive mechanism is switched off when the pulses fail to occur.

摘要： A method and apparatus for removing bottom material from beneath the surface of a body of water includes a floatable base upon which a tower is mounted for extending vertically upwardly therefrom. A rigid, elongate member having a bucket is connected to the tower and shiftable relative thereto by means of a power-driven motor mounted adjacent the tower. The motor is operable for selectively shifting the elongate member in a substantially vertical direction to effect raising and lowering of the bucket. A carriage is connected by cables to the motor and is operable for substantially vertical shifting along guides provided on the tower. The elongate member is connected to the carriage and suspended therefrom and is also pivotally connected to the carriage to permit pivotal movement of the elongate member about a horizontal axis extending generally perpendicularly to the longitudinal axis of the elongate member. A second carriage is provided on an opposite side of the tower and is operable for substantially vertical shifting along second guides provided on the other side. A counterweight is connected to the second carriage and suspended therefrom to aid in the raising of a bucket load of bottom material.

摘要： A grab excavator of the kind having a fixed jib, a liftable grab supported by the jib and a chute articulated about a horizontal axis for pivoting between an operative position in which the chute is directed obliquely downwards to receive material released from the grab and an inoperative position in which the chute is positioned downwardly out of the path of the grab. When the chute is in its operative position the lower end communicates with a feed device which includes a sieve forming a downward extension from the lower end of the chute. The chute is pivoted into and out of its operative position by a hydraulic ram engaging the underside of the chute.

摘要： An apparatus for excavating and transporting excavated material, said apparatus including a nonfloating frame structure having a pair of opposed shovels swingably supported on the opposite sides thereof. A drive mechanism is connected between the frame structure and the shovels for swingably moving the shovels relative to the frame structure. At least two buoyant bodies having a predetermined buoyancy are movably connected to the frame structure at the opposite ends thereof. An operating mechanism is connected between the frame structure and the buoyant bodies for raising and lowering the frame structure and the shovels as a unit relative to the buoyant bodies. The operating mechanism is independently operable in relationship to the drive mechanism.

摘要： A floatable apparatus provided with a lifting element for displacing it between the surface and bottom of a water basin has at least two jaws or grippers which are suitable for use as a clam-shell bucket or the like. The jaws are suspended from the lifting element and are articulated with respect to one another. The lifting element is constituted by a principal floatable buoyant caisson which permits the apparatus to be placed in a state of immersion or of floatation. At least one floatation chamber is associated with each of the jaws to achieve selectably a net density thereof equal to, less than or greater than that of water. The jaws are carried by the principal caisson.
