Abstract:
A modular framework having a plurality of elongate structural members interconnected by brackets is provided. Each of the brackets includes at least one tubular socket to receive a structural member, and an array of holes is provided on a face of the socket to permit connection of an attachment to the bracket to support ancillary components.
Abstract:
A shading apparatus with panels, such as, for example solar panels, connected to a spindle assembly rotatable about a vertical axis. Two or more panels are arranged in a series and connected to the spindle assembly and each panel is rotatable on a horizontal-longitudinal axis and form an array configured to provide a shade canopy. Certain embodiments include a payload area, such as, for example, a seating platform which may be either affixed or releasably attachable to the spindle assembly and/or central pole and rotatable about the vertical axis as a carousel.

Abstract:
In accordance with various exemplary embodiments, solar energy shade structures and methods of design and revenue generation are disclosed. These systems comprise structures capable of supporting solar panel at heights greater than 18 feet above their mounting surface. These systems may be installed in confined spaces. These systems also comprise structures that are customizable, allowing an installation to be configured with a desired lighting and environmental effect. The methods discussed herein describe processes for achieving desired design effects based on natural elements. Moreover, the methods discussed herein describe processes for reducing the costs of generating solar energy and/or reducing the costs of providing a solar structure.
Abstract:
A slat roof (1) with several parallel slats (2) which are rotatable between an open position and a closed position, in which at least one slat (2) comprises a panel-shaped element (3) and comprises a profiled section (4, 5) which extends in the longitudinal direction of the panel-shaped element (3) and is attached thereto, which at least partly delimits a slat gutter along virtually the length of the slat (2) and which only extends above and optionally laterally from the panel-shaped element (3).
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a slat profile (1) for holding an LED strip (8), in which said LED strip (8) can be readily replaced and the slat profile (1) can be of a longer design than existing slat profiles (1) of this type, comprising a supporting profile (2) which can be attached to a supporting structure (17) of a slat wall (20) in order to accommodate the slat profile (1) in the slat wall (20), a closing profile (3) which, in the installed position of the slat profile (1), can be moved with respect to the supporting profile (2) between an open position in which the LED strip (8) can be fitted in the slat profile (1) and a closed position. The present invention also relates to a slat wall (20) which comprises such a slat profile (1).
Abstract:
A pergola structure (10), comprising: at least one horizontal rafter (28), comprising a plurality of tilted notches (22) at the top (32) thereof; and a plurality of parallel horizontal purlins (34), each inserted into the tilted notches (22) from above, thereby each of the purlins (34) is disposed at two sides (12A, 12B) of the rafter (28), providing a firm roof, while allowing flow of air and light therethrough.
Abstract:
A sunscreen structure including a top supporting structure securable to the building at a location near a top of an area to be screened from the sun and at least one slat panel suspended from the top supporting structure. A lower standoff structure is securable to the building at a location below the top supporting structure and is releasably securable to the at least one slat panel. An operable support is coupled between the lower standoff structure and the slat panel. The slat panel is shiftable between a first position where the slat panel is secured to the lower standoff structure and a second position where a lower portion of the one slat panel is displaced outwardly away from the lower standoff structure and supported in the second position by the operable support.
Abstract:
A solar-shading assembly for fastening to a support mullion, comprises an elongate louver member having longitudinal front and rear edges, an elongate cap element for extending along and covering the rear edge, a bracket which is connectable to the support mullion, and a fastening device for connecting the bracket to the rear edge of the louver member. The in use fastening device is coverable by the cap element so as to hide the fastening device from view. Preferably, at least part of the bracket is also coverable by the cap element so as to hide the said part of the bracket from view.
Abstract:
A Bahama awning-type shutter with functional louvers that is strong enough to withstand all tropical weather and test standards relating to and including hurricane force winds, while incorporating the user-friendly, easy opening mechanism of a jalousie. The opening mechanism is an L-angle structure which is capable of moving all of the louvers in unison, opening them by pulling out on the L-angle and closing them by pushing inward on the L-angle. When the shutter is locked against the structure to which it is attached a portion of the L-angle is positioned between the inner face of the shutter and the structure and cannot move outward, thus locking the louvers in a closed position. In this closed position the louvers have the strength to resist hurricane force winds.
