    摘要: A shoring device comprises a piston and a cylinder. The piston is axially expanded by compressed gas, whereby the shoring device engages two opposing surfaces. An outer ratcheting collar and a concentrically enclosed inner ratcheting ring are mounted upon the cylinder end receiving the piston. This outer ratcheting collar mechanically and frictionally engages at least one of a plurality of serrations of the enclosed inner-ratcheting ring. The outer ratcheting collar and inner ratcheting ring firmly hold the piston, thus preventing inadvertent rotation and collapse of the piston during the shoring device application. There is also an internal circular air channel feature, which more quickly and evenly distributes compresses gas or air to the piston for lateral expansion thereof.

An insertion pin is fitted through the slots of the outer tube and inserted in one pair of pinholes of the inner tube, and is rested on the top face of the controlling member, whereby the prop can support a horizontal moldboard.

    摘要: A device to aid the unloading of support elements, the support elements comprising a lower shaft and an upper shaft telescopically coupled to each other. The device includes annular first and second bodies coaxially couplable with each other. Each annular body is provided with a through-hole that allow the upper shaft to extend through the through holes. The upper shaft is also supported by the first annular body using a transversely extending member. The second annular body rests on the lower shaft. An intermediate unloading wedge is positioned between the first and the second annular bodies coupled together, and is able to slide transversally with respect thereto. The sliding of the unloading wedge causes the first annular body and the second annular body to come together or move apart in the longitudinal direction and, therefore, reduce or increase, respectively, the total length of the support element.

When assembled, the telescoping device attaches to an improved vehicle support base plate by a swivel support base plate adapter. The support base plate also attaches to swivel support base plate adapter, and this adapter rotates approximately 340 degrees along the upper vehicle support base plate surface. With this swivel support base plate adapter, the operator can manually orient the telescoping device either vertically or at an angle. Knurled connecting collars comprise circular interior lips which prevent each first and second piston from inadvertently falling from the cylinder or the wider piston, as the case may be.

    摘要: A shoring apparatus has an elongate support post having two ends. One of the ends of the support post is cylindrical while the other end of the support post is provided along its length with spaced apertures. A first telescoping sleeve surrounds the one end of the support post and is slidably mounted on the same, the sleeve having an engaging member or tooth which is adapted to selectively engage and be secured in locking relationship by one of the steps of a stepped rest collar fixed on the support post. The steps on the rest collar are incrementally axially spaced from each other about the periphery of said support post. A second telescoping sleeve has an apertured end and is slidably mounted on the other end of the support post to permit alignment of its aperture with one of the spaced apertures of the support post. A pin is removably receivable in respective aligned apertures of the second sleeve and the support post to prevent relative axial movement therebetween. The distance between each of the apertures in the support post represent a distance approximately equal to the totality of steps of the rest collar. In this manner, the overall length of the shoring apparatus can be adjusted coarsely by aligning respective apertures in the support post with the aperture in the second sleeve, and can be adjusted finely by selectively engaging the tooth of the first sleeve with one of the steps of the rest collar.
