摘要: A light-weight, cost-effective walk-through frame that facilitates movement from one scaffold section to another by a scaffolding worker is disclosed. The frame includes a plurality of substantially vertical support members, each having a bottom end and a top end; a truss structure connected to the support members; and a plurality of angled support members, each of the angled support members having a bottom end and a top end, the angled support members diverging from their top ends to their bottom ends such that each of the angled support member top ends are connected near a central region of the truss structure and each of the angled support member bottom ends are connected near the bottom ends of the plurality of substantially vertical support member bottom ends. The frame can be used in a scaffold, ensuring that the scaffold is suitable for use on projects of significant height. “Walk-through” can be facilitated through the use of a chevron-type configuration. From a project management standpoint, the system results in increased labor savings due, at least in part, to relative ease of set-up.

摘要: An arrangement for connecting the ties to the uprights of a scaffolding includes a plurality of vertically elongated openings in the uprights, an end projection on a wedge-shaped end plate of the tie which has an enlarged end portion which is introduced into the interior of the upright through an enlargement of the opening while the stem of the projection is received in the opening when the enlarged end portion of the projection is received in the interior of the tubular upright, and a wedge element which is permanently mounted on the projection and interposed between the upright and the wedge-shaped end plate of the tie in the assembled position of the tie with the upright. The wedge-shaped end plate of the tie may be mounted on the remainder of the tie for pivoting relative thereto, and the remainder of the tie may consist of two or more components of similar configurations which are respectively received one within the other, being arrestable in a plurality of arresting positions to change the effective length of the tie.

摘要: A modular scaffold component of different material components advantageously uses the durability and reliability of conventional type steel ledger heads adhesively secured to by an aluminum or aluminum alloy structural member. In a preferred embodiment the structural member is an extruded elongate tube and in a further preferred structure the elongate tube is of a non circular cross section having thickened top and bottom portions preferably interior to a circular outer surface. These thickened portions provide additional strength and structural characteristics such that the component can be freely substituted for the equivalent steel component. In this way the component may be added to existing systems to take advantage of the reduced weight thereof without requiring a dedicated system or rendering an existing system obsolete.

摘要: An architecture is presented that consolidates scaffold stair units to one unit with a multi-fit hook device. The multi-fit hook device for scaffolding comprises a bracket with an opening at one end. The bracket further comprises slotted holes formed in the bracket, outside the opening to aid in securing the multi-fit hook device to an access way. Hardware, such as screws or bolts, is inserted through the slotted holes to secure the bracket to the access way. The opening at one end of the bracket is formed to accept scaffold tubing indeterminate of size, and can be used on any scaffold system. Thus, the opening is not scaffold tube style specific and does not require a separate unit for each scaffold system. Instead, the multi-fit hook device permits the same access way to be used on multiple scaffold systems.

摘要: The invention concerns a coupling for the connection of scaffolding components having a coupling mouth in which the closing motion of the jaws is induced by a tensioning means configured as a wedge with ribs running diagonally against its direction of motion during tensioning. In the present invention the ribs (39, 49) work together with teeth (32, 44) on a moveable jaw (20) of the coupling mouth, and the wedge (30) has a curved cross section.

摘要: The invention provides a clasping device that is simple to utilize and remove, and comprises a minimum number of operating components, yet is capable of efficiently performing a clasping function. A base is provided having first and second ends with an object-receiving surface disposed between the ends. A hasp, which preferably is of inextensible but flexible material, has first and second ends operatively cooperating with the base first and second ends, and has an object-receiving surface disposed between its ends. A conical screw acts between the base and the hasp for, when it is advanced, effecting relative movement between the hasp and base object-receiving surfaces to cause the object to be tightly clasped therebetween. The first and second ends of the base and hasp may take a wide variety of forms depending upon the particular nature of the hasp itself, the object to be held, and the environment.
