摘要： A safety system includes a sleeve fitted within a pool's suction line at its inlet. The sleeve terminates with a plate that resides within the suction line. The plate has holes formed therethrough. A housing defining distinct channels is fitted in the sleeve so that the distinct channels lie within the sleeve. Each of the distinct channels has a first opening on one end thereof and a second opening on another end thereof. The second openings reside in the sleeve. The first openings are in fluid communication with the water in the pool, and are distributed around a periphery of an area of the housing that prevents coverage of all the first openings when a human interacts therewith. A first sensor is coupled to the sleeve to sense pressure therein, and a second pressure sensor is coupled to the plate to sense pressure in one of the plates' holes.

摘要： The present disclosure provides a skimmer basket assembly. The skimmer basket assembly may include a basket, the bottom of which may include one or more flaps. A handle may be connected to the basket via one or more connectors. The handle may include a trigger mechanism that is mechanically linked to the one or more flaps of the basket. The trigger mechanism may be configured to operate the one of more flaps of the basket upon manipulation of the trigger mechanism. The skimmer basket assembly may include a lid that is slidingly connected to the one or more connectors. The lid may be configured to receive the handle therein and substantially cover a top opening of the basket.

摘要： A drain sump includes a secondary chamber for providing an alternate source of water for the main drain to pull water from, thereby limiting the suction force created when the flow of water is obstructed. In a preferred embodiment, the two chambers within the drain sump are partitioned by a septum wall, which provides a passage for a drain pipe extension at the center of the septum wall and further includes a plurality of venting channels for ideal water flow between the two chambers. Each chamber is in open fluid flow communication with the pool water via the drain grate. Relief hole passages are included on the drain pipe extension for providing open fluid communication between the secondary chamber and the water flow passage. The drain pipe extension may further include two 90 degree bends for restricting access to the water flow passage of the drain pipe extension.

One or more motion sensors detect potential drowning patterns based on intervals of above-water movements followed by cessation of such movements. Upon detection of a potential drowning pattern, the system implements a succession of responsive modes, including an alarm mode and culminating in a rescue mode, in which the water is rapidly drained from the pool/tub to prevent a submerged child from drowning.

摘要： A grate cover being installed in a recess in the top of a sump. The grate is formed of an upper and a lower section. The upper section exhibits four squares or four triangles therein, The upper section has a dome-shaped configuration and has four square or triangular shapes therein, depending on the geometric division therein, each shape has openings therein. The lower section has four trapezoid shapes therein. Each of the shapes of the upper section, whether square or triangular, has a concave surface curvature therein at a transition between the upper and the lower section. Each of the trapezoids of the lower section has two concave surfaces curvatures therein. One curvature extends in a first direction from the upper section toward an outside edge of grate cover. The other second concave curvature extends in a direction which is normal to the first direction.

The nozzle assembly is for directing a pressurized liquid in a pattern over a surface of the drain cover when the drain cover and the nozzle are immersed in the liquid such that a portion of the liquid above the pattern or objects suspended in standing liquid can not be pulled directly toward the drain cover through a drain inlet opening. The drain also has an effluent opening for connecting to the drain sump arranged such that the liquid flows into a pipe in a first direction. The pressurized supply line is arranged inside the pipe for returning the liquid to the nozzle assembly in a second direction opposite the first direction.

摘要： A circular suction outlet assembly is provided for use in swimming pools, spas, and the like, which includes a sump body having a central stem which forms an annular space within the sump body, and a nozzle which communicates with the annular space to convey water to the swimming pool drain circuit. A circular, domed-shaped cover is removeably fitted to the top of the sump body. Safety features of the suction outlet assembly include openings in the cover arranged to allow a bather to safely break a seal formed between a body part and the cover. In the event the cover becomes separated from the sump body, the annular space and the central stem also inhibit the insertion and entrapment of human body parts in the sump body.

摘要： A channel drain with a water stop is adapted for handling pool water in a swimming pool having a plastered surface. The channel drain, preferably a sump drain includes an elongated channel having a drain port and an opening for receiving pool water. A water stop abutting and substantially encircling the opening is formed into a trough for retaining and collecting the pool water. The drain is configured for installation in a pool with the water stop buried in the plastered surface, such that pool water seeping between the opening and the plaster is trapped by the trough, preventing the pool water from intruding beyond the plastered surface.

摘要： A skimmer cover assembly includes a cover that is adapted to fit over the face flange of the skimmer or pool wall to prevent water from entering the skimmer assembly. The cover is secured to the skimmer by use of a draw bolt that is threaded at one end and includes a thumb screw or wing nut at a second end. The threaded end is adapted to be threaded into a support brace that is braced against an inside surface of the skimmer housing or to the skimmer housing itself. Tightening the draw bolt with the thumb screw draws the cover tightly against the face flange of the skimmer. The cover includes a gasket seal about its perimeter to form a watertight seal with the face flange of the skimmer. The draw bolt also has an o-ring that is positioned between the thumb screw and the cover to prevent water from leaking past the cover.
