摘要: A wave park includes a body of water, and a track positioned in or proximate the body of water. The wave park further includes at least one foil coupled to move along the track, the foil being at least partially submerged in the body of water. Each foil has a curvilinear cross-sectional geometry that includes a leading surface that is concave about a vertical axis to provide drag to generate a primary wave laterally in water of the body of water that contacts the leading surface of the foil, and a trailing surface that narrows from a maximum width of the foil adjacent the leading surface to a point at an end of the foil, the trailing surface to decrease the drag of the foil and to minimize oscillatory waves that trail the primary wave from the water moving past the leading surface of the foil.

摘要: A low gravity fed water system includes a housing having an inlet opening, a portion of the inlet opening disposed above the waterline and a portion of the inlet opening disposed below the waterline. The housing has an outlet opening disposed in the housing below the waterline in fluid communication with the plurality of jets. The housing has a vent opening disposed in the housing below the waterline. An upwardly-extending conduct is connectable at a first end to the vent opening, and has a second end disposed above the waterline in ambient air away from an inside surface of the housing and away from an inside surface of the tub. In the event of a blockage of the inlet opening, air is drawn into the housing via the conduit inhibiting a suction being drawn on the inlet opening.

摘要: An improved swim spa is described which has a tank having a head end and a foot end filled with water. A forward current is created by pumping equipment which directs the forward current from a head end of the tank, past a swimmer in the water to a foot end of the tank. This allows the swimmer to swim in place. The width of the forward current is chosen to be at least twice its depth. A diverter is positioned at the foot end of the tank. The diverter has a curved surface for redirecting the forward current toward the sidewalls and then back toward the head wall in a horizontal plane and downward and back toward the head wall in a vertical plane. In various embodiments, the diverter may only employ curved surfaces to turn the forward current to the sidewalls and then back to the head end. It also may only have curved surfaces to divert the forward current downward, then toward the head end. In another embodiment, the diverter may employ curved surfaces to divert the forward current both sideways and downward then to the head end simultaneously to result in a more efficient design.

摘要: A system and method for filtering pool water by removing algae from the water without the use of chemicals is presented. The system includes a pump, a hose, and a filter. The pump is configured to move a volume of water from the pool and push the water through the hose. A container is in communication with the hose to receive the water. The container includes an internal filter and a series of holes in the body of the container. The water passes through the filter and is discharged out through the holes. The water is recycled through the filter continuously. The location of the pump and the container relative to one another within the pool allows an operator to dictate the level of circulation and filtration of water through the pool.

摘要: Disclosed is a filtration pump for a swimming pool, including a pump body suitable for resting on a horizontal support, the pump body has a suction port extended by a cylindrical suction structure with a horizontal axis, and a discharge port, extended by a cylindrical discharge structure with a vertical axis. The pump body allows adjustment: of the dimension corresponding to the height of the horizontal axis of the cylindrical suction structure, relative to the support, of the dimension corresponding to the height of the horizontal plane of the free end of the cylindrical discharge structure relative to the support, and of the dimension corresponding to the distance separating the vertical plane of the free end of the cylindrical suction structure and the vertical axis of the cylindrical discharge structure, and this continuously, each over a range of values and regardless of the others.

摘要: A heating and cooling system includes a swimming pool, a pump connected to the swimming pool, a pool cooler connected to the pump so as to cool water passing from the pump, a water source heat pump cooperative with the pump so as to receive water as passed by the outlet pipe of the pump, a valve mechanism connected to the outlet of the pump so as to control the flow of water toward the pool cooler and the water source heat pump, and a pressure control valve cooperative between the valve mechanism in the inlet line of the pool cooler so as to limit a pressure of the water flowing from the valve mechanism toward the inlet line of the pool cooler. A pressure control is connected to the outlet line of the pool cooler so as to reduce a pressure of the water flowing from the outlet line to the pump.

摘要: A swimming pool with a circulating water flow includes a plurality of side walls adjacent a swimming compartment, one of the side walls including an outlet, at least one inlet positioned at each lateral side of the outlet, and a plenum arrangement on a side of the one wall opposite the swimming compartment. The plenum arrangement is in communication with each inlet and the outlet. A water propulsion device is positioned within the plenum arrangement and effects a pair of circuitous water flow paths within the swimming compartment.

摘要: The present invention provides a pumping system for moving water of a swimming pool, including a water pump and a variable speed motor. In one example, a target volume amount of water and an operational time period is provided, and the operational time period is altered based upon a volume of water moved. In another example, operation of the motor is altered based upon the volume of water moved. In addition or alternatively, a target flow rate of water to be moved by the water pump is determined based upon the target volume amount and a time period. In addition or alternatively, a plurality of operations are performed on the water, and a total volume of water moved by the pump is determined. In addition or alternatively, an optimized flow rate value is determined based upon power consumption.

摘要: Embodiments of the invention provide a pumping system for at least one aquatic application. The pumping system includes a pump, a motor coupled to the pump, and a controller in communication with the motor. The controller determines a first motor speed, obtains a reference flow rate, determines a present flow rate, and determines a present power consumption. The controller calculates a difference value between the reference flow rate and the present flow rate, and uses at least one of integral, proportional, and derivative control to generate a second motor speed based on the difference value. The controller attempts to drive the motor at the second motor speed until reaching a steady state condition.
