    摘要: Disclosed is a door catch that can help to prevent door sag, especially for heavy or tall residential or commercial doors, and provides for post-installation catch tension adjustment without removal or adjustment of mounting members. In one aspect, the door catch can include a ball catch base, a threaded ball plunger assembly, a catch bumper, and a bumper base. In another aspect, the catch bumper and the bumper base can optionally be combined into a single catch bar bracket. The ball plunger assembly is adjustably mounted within a threaded aperture of ball catch base. A ball captive in one end of the ball plunger assembly engages a detent in the catch bumper, or catch bar bracket, providing friction to hold the door open. The position of the ball plunger assembly can be adjusted vertically to increase or decrease the tension between the detent and the ball plunger assembly.

    摘要: A pressure relief latch includes a housing fastenable to a first panel of a structure and a rotatable handle attached to the housing. The housing includes a compression spring that biases a roller toward a second panel. A keeper assembly is attached to the second panel, the keeper assembly having a keeper extending therefrom. When the latch is in the closed position, the roller engages the keeper. When the handle is rotated upward, the roller disengages the keeper. A safety release may be provided to prevent inadvertent rotation of the handle.

    摘要: An automatic gate closer latch for use in centrally securing a commercial or industrial swinging gate to a stationary fence post, especially useful in the farming and ranching applications, includes a gate catcher assembly mounted on a swivel bolt, complete with directional pressure finders, a bearing tensioner assembly consisting of a bearing tensioner plate, a roller bearing, a tension spring and mounting hardware. The said gate latch catcher assembly is a flat bar segment composed of three right angled bends designed similar to open fingers, to catch the oncoming protruded gate edge post. The directional pressure fingers incorporated in the opposite ends of the gate catcher finger assembly allows the spring tension assembly to maximize its distance in the central neutral position thus causing an automatic closed latch phenomenon. Above normal pressure from an implement on either side of the gate will promote the fingers to open allowing the gate to swing open. The bearing tension assembly consists of a tension spring encircling an all thread bolt promoting pressure to the end roller bearing, all mounted perpendicular to the gate catcher assembly in a sliding tensioning phenomenon through two angle irons mounted on the flat bar mounting irons.

    摘要: An adjustable catch mechanism is described. The mechanism has a housing that has one or more side walls and a face plate. The face plate has an opening therein such that said opening communicates with an interior portion of the housing. There is a front plate adapted to be positioned over the face plate. The front plate is provided with an opening that is generally aligned with the opening in the face plate and shaped so that a catch means can retractably pass through said opening. An adjustable plate is positioned in said housing and has a base section with a top surface and a bottom surface. The adjustable plate is prevented from undergoing rotational movement in the housing and the base section has a threaded portion that is adapted to receive a threaded member on a mounting frame. The mounting frame has a base with a top side and a bottom side and wherein the bottom side of the base has the threaded member extending therefrom into said threaded portion of the adjustable plate and wherein the top side of the mounting frame has catch means and wherein the height of the catch means may be adjusted when the catch means is pushed into the housing and rotated. The rotation causes the threaded member to change the height of the catch means. The front plate helps retain the adjustable plate and the mounting frame within the housing.

    摘要: A reciprocatory device in the form of a roller door catch has a reciprocatory plunger slidable in a fixed tubular housing and retained therein by an adjustment member. The plunger is urged to a normal resting position by a compression return spring. At its outer end the plunger rotatably supports a catch roller engageable with a recessed keeper mounted on the door frame. The adjustment member has a stem portion which projects into a blind bore at the inner end of the plunger, and this stem has radial stub projections which engage with a helical rib providing a screw thread within said bore, with a clearance in the axial direction approximating to the normal range of plunger reciprocation on door opening and closure. The adjustment member has a head portion with a frusto-conical clutch face which frictionally engages a mating clutch face at the inner end of the housing. The plunger is restrained against rotation within the housing, and a small amount of clutch slip as said clutch faces interengage on door opening provides an auto-set facility which compensates for variations in the gap between the door and the door frame at the shut face.
