Abstract:
An electrically controlled door lock device with a lockset with an inside handle, an outside handle, a spring loaded continuous spindle, biased to maintained a lockset's latch in a projected position and connecting the lockset and the outside handle, a first half and a second half of a clutch connecting the continuous spindle and the inside handle with a spring maintaining the second half of the clutch in predetermined position relative to the first half of the clutch. There is also a mechanical means blocking the first half of the clutch from rotation and electromechanical means controlling the blocking means, the mechanical means built into the second half of the clutch, allowing the second half of the clutch a predetermined degree of free rotation before it engages with the first half of the clutch, the mechanical means built into second half of the clutch, mechanically inhibiting the blocking means.
Abstract:
A securement apparatus for a vehicle storage compartment includes a closure panel and a body portion. The securement apparatus includes a base portion, a handle, a tumbler and a lock. The base portion is configured to couple to the closure panel. The handle is pivotally coupled to the base portion to move between latched and unlatched positions, and includes a latch that is configured to engage the body portion while the handle is in the latched position. The tumbler is moveably disposed with respect to the base portion between locked and unlocked positions, and is configured to restrict movement of the handle from the latched position to the unlatched position while the tumbler is in the locked position. The lock is configured to move the tumbler between the locked and unlocked positions.
Abstract:
A latching system for securing two members together includes a housing, a pawl that is pivotally attached to the housing, a locking member, an actuating mechanism, and a rocker switch. The pawl is movable between a closed configuration and an open configuration. The rocker switch is used to control the actuating mechanism. The rocker switch includes an outer housing, an inner housing, a printed circuit board, and a button. The pawl is provided with a torsion spring member that biases the pawl toward the open or disengaged configuration. Energizing the electrical actuating mechanism retracts the locking member out of engagement with the pawl, thus allowing the pawl to rotate under spring bias to the open configuration.
Abstract:
An exemplary battery cover latching mechanism for latching a battery cover to a rear cover, includes a rod, a suction cup, an elastic element and a sliding key. The rod has a first end and a second end, is hinged to the rear cover, and includes a first positioning slot and a second positioning slot. The suction cup is mounted at the first end of the rod. The elastic element is mounted on the second end of the rod and resisting the rear cover. The sliding key is slidably mounted to the rear cover. When the sliding key latches with the first positioning slot, the suction cup sucks the battery cover to the rear cover; when the sliding key slides out of the first positioning slot to the second positioning slot, the rod rotates relative to the rear cover to release the battery cover.
Abstract:
A latch has a pawl, a handle connected to the pawl, a manual lock for preventing movement of the handle between a closed position and an open position, an electrical lock for preventing movement of the handle between the closed position and the open position, and a shuttle connected to both the manual lock and the electrical lock. The shuttle is moveable between an engaged position in which the handle is prevented from moving from the closed position to the open position and a disengaged position in which the handle is permitted to move from the closed position to the open position. Upon deenergization of the electrical lock, the shuttle remains in the engaged position if the shuttle was in the engaged position prior to deenergization and the shuttle remains in the unengaged position if the shuttle were in the unengaged position prior to deenergization.
Abstract:
A removable processor enclosure apparatus for use in a gaming machine having a housing defining an interior portion, and a first electrical connector disposed in the interior portion. The enclosure apparatus includes an enclosure containing the CPU electrical components therein, and is adapted for sliding receipt in the interior portion of the gaming machine housing between a mounting condition and a removal condition. In the mounting condition, the enclosure is mounted to the housing and electrically coupling a second electrical connector of the enclosure to the first electrical connector of the housing. In the removal condition, the enclosure can be removed from the housing. A release device is interengaged between the housing and the enclosure, and is selectively movable between a first position, locking the enclosure in the mounting condition, and a second position, releasing the enclosure from the mounting condition to the removal condition and disconnecting the second electrical connector from the first electrical connector.
Abstract:
A system monitors the condition of a container. A container security device secures at least one door of the container. The container security device is programmably armed to implement the securing. The container security device is adapted to sense at least one condition of the container, transmit information relative to the at least one sensed condition to a location outside the container, and interpret the at least one sensed condition. A remote arming plug is coupled to the container security device. The remote arming plug has a unique identifier to be communicated to the container security device to initiate an arming sequence of the container security device.
Abstract:
A fuel door housing for the fueling of an automobile including a tub-like body, a flap which is hingely linked to the body, a thrust spring biasing the flap toward an opened position, a locking element having a locking and an unlocking position, and an actuating element for placing the locking element into the unlocking position. The locking element is moved towards the unlocking position through a one-way transmission of the actuating element upon a movement of the flap into its closed position or beyond thereof, respectively, and the locking element completely engages the catching element upon arrival of the flap at its closed position. A casing is formed at the inner side of the body. The locking element and parts of the actuating elements are accommodated by the casing, and a locking portion of the locking element is sealingly extended through a wall portion of the casing facing the catching element.
