摘要: A thermally-broken ornamental door includes a thermally-broken door and a thermally-broken jamb through which thermal transfer is greatly minimized. The thermally-broken door includes an outer panel and an inner panel that are minimally connected through a plurality of door bridging strips. The thermally-broken jamb includes an outer jamb frame and an inner jamb frame that are minimally connected through a plurality of jamb bridging strips. An insulating foam panel is present between the outer panel and the inner panel while an insulating foam core is present between the outer jamb frame and the inner jamb frame. A window assembly is hingedly mounted into the thermally-broken door and includes a retaining spacer frame that minimizes thermal transfer from an exterior environment to an inner window frame through a glass panel of the window assembly. The retaining spacer frame additionally provides structural support to the glass panel.

摘要: A door assembly includes a doorframe, an insulated glazing unit (IGU), door skins, and a gas passageway. The IGU includes a substantially sealed IGU cavity and a hole communicating with the IGU cavity. The door skins are secured to opposite sides of the doorframe and have openings between which the IGU is provided. The gas passageway provides gas communication between the IGU cavity and the atmosphere outside of the door assembly. The gas passageway contains a gas passage conduit that includes a first end communicating with the IGU cavity through the hole and a second end communicating with atmosphere outside of the door assembly. The gas passageway may contain a gas passage conduit having a first end communicating with the IGU cavity through the first hole and a second end communicating with an air pocket, and a channel connects the air pocket with atmosphere outside of the door assembly.

This glazing unit comprises two glass sheets (12, 14) joined together around their periphery by means of an assembly (16) forming a seal (163) and an insert frame (161) which defines, with the two glass sheets, a flat cavity filled with a gas, and a waveguide fastened between the glass sheets, internal to the insert frame. The waveguide consists of at least one straight tubular section (20, 22, 24, 26) placed on the periphery of the gas-filled cavity along one side of the glazing unit, this section being provided with a transverse partition (28) which closes the latter in its length direction, the said partition being placed at a length position along the section which depends on the acoustic mode of the cavity that it is desired to disorganize, this partition defining, on either side of it, two chambers (30, 31) which communicate with the cavity through the ends of the sections.

摘要: A thermally insulated door assembly with an operable panel uses a pair of structural panels, a collection of thermally-insulating fasteners, a panel hole and an operable panel. The pair of structural panels are held together by the thermally-insulating fasteners. The thermally-insulating fasteners form a rigid structure that prevents thermal conductivity between the two structural panels that make up the door assembly. This arrangement enables the door assembly to remain a rigid structure while being composed of multiple components. The panel hole traverses through the pair of structural panels to form an opening into which the operable panel is inserted. The operable panel is a panel that replaces a central section of the door assembly. This placement enables the user to remove and replace the operable panel as desired.
