    摘要： A non-rotating mining cutter pick has a shank portion with a non-circular cross-section, a head portion including a tip region distal from the shank portion, a shoulder portion separating the shank portion from the head portion, and a cutting insert mounted at a front end of the tip region. The cutting insert includes a body formed of tungsten carbide and an element formed of a superhard material, such as PCD or other material having a prescribed knoop hardness. At least a portion of a first surface of the element is exposed on a cutting surface of the cutting insert, which improves wear properties of the mining cutter pick. The element is fused to the body of the cutting insert, preferably in a high pressure-high temperature (HPHT) process. A method of manufacture and a cutting machine incorporating the non-rotating mining cutter pick on the rotatable element are also disclosed.

    摘要： A pick locking device for a plow pick that includes a pick shank inserted into a receptor box of a pick holder. The locking device may include a retaining pin and a deformable clamp element. The retaining pin may be forced through an opening on the pick holder into a locking groove extending in a shank insert direction along one side face of the shank. The clamp element may secure the retaining pin in a locked position, and may include a first leg and a second leg positioned at an angle to each other. The first leg may be inserted into a retainer in the pick shank and the second leg may be inserted into a locking recess on the retaining pin. The second leg may include a trunnion protruding from the first leg and an annular enclosed opening that extends to a rear of the first leg.

    摘要： A cutting drum for a scarifying milling machine includes a rotatable drum having a generally cylindrical outer surface, and a plurality of flight blocks mounted onto the outer surface of the drum, defining a helical flight extending therearound. Each of the flight blocks includes a slot and at least one pocket formed therein. Each slot is generally rectangular and adapted to receive a tool holder. Each flight block includes a tool holder, having a generally rectangular body, removably mounted within the slot. A retainer is positioned within each pocket. Each retainer includes a planar tapered surface that is parallel to and engages one side of the rectangular body of the tool holder within the slot of the flight block to secure the tool holder therein.

    摘要： A cutter bit assembly is composed of a carrier or holder secured or integral with a coal plough and a cutter part detachably secured to the holder. The holder has a head piece with opposite plane faces extending transversally to the cutting direction. A bore in the head piece opens to these faces and extends parallel to the cutting direction. The cutter part has a plane face engageable on one of the transverse faces of the head piece and a projection and recess on these engageable faces prevents rotation of the cutter part. A threaded member either integral with or separate from the cutter part extends through the bore in the head piece and receives a nut bearing on the other of the transverse faces and used to detachably secure the cutter part to the head piece.
