    摘要: A bit arrangement for fastening to a plough-body element of a mining plough for underground mining, particularly of a coal plough for the excavation of steeply disposed coal seams, having a plurality of bit pockets for accommodating, preferably demountably, respectively one bit per bit pocket. In order thereby to create a bit arrangement and a mining plough that can be used advantageously for the excavation of steeply disposed mineral deposits and that render possible economic excavation of such mineral deposits, at least two bit pockets are locked in recesses on a front side of a bit strip, which is provided, on a back side, with at least one groove indentation for the positive engagement of a locking projection on the plough-body element and is detachably fastenable to the plough-body element by means of detachable fastening means.

    摘要: A cutting head assembly for excavating rock fragments from a mine wall is disclosed. In an embodiment, the cutting head assembly comprises a primary breakage mechanism actuable to apply, to the mine wall, a breakage force for breaking rock fragments from the mine wall. A surface of the cutting head assembly catches the rock fragments broken from the mine wall and has one or more ports associated therewith. A secondary breakage mechanism is operatively associated with the surface and actuable to apply a force for reducing the size of at least some of the rock fragments caught by the surface so as to allow at least the reduced size rock fragments to pass through a respective port for transportation to downstream processing.

The wedge fits into a tapered gap between complementary curved surfaces of the holder and the cutter-bit shank. A projecting insert carried by the shank mates with a serrated portion on the wedge. Contact is established between the wedge and the curved surfaces of the holder and the shank over outer regions separated by non-contacting clearances.

    摘要: A floor cutter bit for a coal plough has a cutter body which supports a floor cutter plate and a coal-face cutter plate. The two cutter plates are made of hard metal, and have respective cutting edges. The cutter plates are soldered into respective apertures in the cutter body. The cutting edge of the floor cutter plate extends the entire length of the floor cutter plate, and the floor cutter plate extends over the entire width of the cutter body. The base of the coal-face cutter plate adjoins the upper side of the floor cutter plate thereby defining an L-shaped cutter plate configuration. The depth of the floor cutter plate, at least in the region where the two cutter plates meets, is greater than about 15 millimeters.

    摘要: A cutter bit assembly is composed of a carrier or holder secured or integral with a coal plough and a cutter part detachably secured to the holder. The holder has a head piece with opposite plane faces extending transversally to the cutting direction. A bore in the head piece opens to these faces and extends parallel to the cutting direction. The cutter part has a plane face engageable on one of the transverse faces of the head piece and a projection and recess on these engageable faces prevents rotation of the cutter part. A threaded member either integral with or separate from the cutter part extends through the bore in the head piece and receives a nut bearing on the other of the transverse faces and used to detachably secure the cutter part to the head piece.

High pressure water is conveyed through the bore and nozzle insert to discharge as a jet which is directed to impinge against the mineral or coal face to effect a cut therein hydraulically. The nozzle insert has its discharge mouth in a protected position inside the body.
