    摘要: The scheduling of extraction of a resource within a mine is disclosed which comprises obtaining drill hole grade data relating to the resource and creating a plurality of different block models, with each block in each model having a resource grade and each of the block models honoring the drill hole grade data. An extraction schedule is determined based on a cut-off grade policy to increase expected net present value of the mine. The cut-off grade policy can be a variable cut-off grade and the scheduling using the variable cut-off grade is converted from a non-linear representation to a linear representation and a mixed integer programming formulation is used for simultaneous optimization of the extraction schedule and the cut-off grade.

    摘要: This invention comprises two improved mining methods as such and combined with mining equipments for the mining and rock industries. The first, called the screw-mining-method, comprises benches which rotate around a turning-point area in a downwardly sloping screw shaped path. The benches are positioned radially to the turning-point area which contains a shaft or other transportation means between two points located at different altitudes. The second, called a method with horizontal-radial-rotating benches, operates similarly to the first method except that the benches rotate solely in a horizontal plane rather than in a downwardly sloping path. The method and equipments are adapted for use with material such as rock, ore, coal and any other commercially useful, as well as mineral materials excavated from the earth's crust.

The method includes: providing a stationary reader device and mobile marker devices, each of the marker devices adapted to (i) emit an electromagnetic signal, (ii) detect strength of the signal emitted by another of the marker devices, and (iii) wirelessly transmit information related to the detected signal via the other marker devices to the stationary reader device; drilling a hole into a rock region of a mine, installing the mobile marker devices at sequential known depths within the hole; monitoring the reader device to detect a decrease in the strength of a signal emitted by a first marker device by a second marker device; and in response to a decrease being detected by the second marker device, inferring the depth of the cave front to be between the known depths of the first and second marker devices.
