    摘要: A method for lining chambers and galleries, especially mining and tunnelling galleries, employs resilient steel supporting frames which consist of a number of box-like section segments capable of being slid one into another and which thus, at least in the zone of overlap, constitute a closed tube. The ends of the overlapping segments are widened or compressed, as the case may be, and then inserted one into another. Each overlapping outer section segment is then mechanically compressed in the region of the overlap until ears of the so compressed segment grip behind flanges of the overlapped inner section segment. A self-locking wedge system providing means of restraint or braking is inserted between each two overlapping outer and inner section segments, and a leading tie and a deformation tie are fitted at the overlap region to the respective ends of the overlapping outer and inner section segments.

    摘要: A peripherally flexible arch for propping rock structure for mining tracks, tunnels or the like is comprised of a plurality of partially overlapped elongated segments, each of which has an end portion extended toward the rock structure, a bottom portion opposite to the end portion, and a lateral flange offset from the end portion laterally and in the direction toward the bottom portion. Clamping devices are arranged at the ends of the overlapping regions of the segments to clamp the segments to each other. The end portion of each lower segment is inserted into a groove formed between the end portion and the flange portion of each upper segment at the side of this segment facing away from the rock structure. Each clamping device has a hook engaged in a groove formed between the end portion and the flange of the upper segment at the side of this segment facing toward the rock structure.

    摘要: A method for controlling deformation of a cut end region of an erected arch-type structure for use in underpass construction and the like where the cut end region has at least one extended leg portion. The method comprises building progressively at least one layer of mechanically-stabilized earth adjacent the extended leg portion by alternately layering a plurality of compacted layers of fill with interposed layers of reinforcement. Each layer of reinforcement is secured to the extended leg portion during the progressive building. The securement of the layers of reinforcement to the extended leg portions provide support in controlling deformation of the cut end region during backfilling and regular service.
