    摘要: A barrier forming apparatus for forming a barrier between an exposed tunnel face (107) and a tunnel boring machine (100), the barrier being formed by the application to the tunnel face of a barrier mixture comprising two highly reactive first and second components. The barrier forming apparatus (10) includes a first reservoir (11) for storing the first component, a second reservoir (12) for storing the second component, and a plurality of applicators (13, 14 and 15). The barrier forming apparatus (10) also includes a third reservoir (56) that is used to store a clearing fluid and a piston flow divider (58) having an inlet (59) and three chambers having respective outlets, (61, 62 and 63) that are in fluid communication with a respective applicator (13, 14 and 15). The applicators are maintained in a state of readiness by a regular supply of clearing fluid passing there through.

    摘要: The present invention relates to a mechanical tunneling apparatus and process for a tunnel in a quicksand stratum. The mechanical tunneling apparatus comprises isolating apparatuses arranged at an upper end and a lower end of a supporting apparatus; an excavation apparatus arranged at a front end of the supporting apparatus; a spraying apparatus arranged on the isolating apparatuses and the excavation apparatus; a muck discharging apparatus arranged at a lower part of the supporting apparatus; and a propulsion apparatus arranged at a rear end of the supporting apparatus. The mechanical apparatus of the present invention may effectively increase a tunneling speed and safety for the tunnel in the quicksand stratum, ensure the stability of surrounding rocks of the tunnel, and reduce a large volume of collapse of the quicksand stratum due to tunnel construction disturbance.

    摘要: A method for providing a protective coating in a mine comprises spraying onto the rock surfaces of the mine a hot melt adhesive in an amount to form a coating at least 1 mm, preferably at least 2 mm in thickness and allowing to coating to solidify. The hot melt adhesive preferably has a melting point on the range from 70 to 250 degrees Centigrade and may include a filler such as an inert material in finely divided form such as ground limestone, mica, sand and silica, the filler comprising between 1 and 40% by weight of the combined weight of adhesive and filler.

    摘要: A driving shield having a shield shell and a transverse wall for defining a work chamber, and a removal arm pivotally journalled on the transverse wall. The removal arm has a removal tool for mining or removing a face wall which also delimits the work chamber. A pressure medium supply is provided for attaining a support pressure in the work chamber. Material worked away from the face wall is removed by a discharge conduit arranged essentially along the bottom of the shield shell. The work or material-removing arm is journalled on the transverse wall in the pneumatic pressure duct, and the pressure medium supply is embodied as a pneumatic conduit. A sealing medium application device is movably coupled with the work arm, and the delivery nozzle of the device is directed upon the immediate surroundings at the free end of the removal tool.

    摘要: A method for reducing compressed air losses when driving underground cavities which are supported by compressed air. The part of the inner cavity face exposed by mining is sealed by a viscous medium after breaking away the earth. With a supply of propellant, the viscous medium is applied, in the form of a spray mist which is directed toward the exposed part of the inner cavity face, in such a way that the mist penetrates the substratum without substantially destroying the exposed face. Particles of rock are thus prevented from being detached from the face which is to be sealed.
