    摘要: A rotary machine for compression and decompression, comprising a disc-shaped rotor having a first rotation axis at right angles to the plane of the rotor and situated in a plane of orientation and a disc-shaped swing element having a second rotation axis. In the orientation plane, the second rotation axis makes an angle with the first rotation axis. Furthermore, a spherical housing is present surrounding the rotor and the swing element and in combination forming four (de-)compression chambers. A connecting body positions the rotor and the swing element in the housing. The rotary machine furthermore comprises a power drive and a mechanical connection delivering power to or taking off power from the rotary machine. In addition, the rotary machine is suitable for the seamless integration of generator components for generating or using electricity.

    摘要: An improved rotary engine and method for determining the contours of the sealing surfaces thereof. The improved engine provides for maintaining a predetermined, optimal gap between the sealing surfaces during rotation. The gap may be parallel or angled, and may be positive or negative so as to form an interference engagement. The rotors of the engine may be provided with mirror-image sealing surfaces so as to prevent development of excessive back-lash and clearance, and also to permit efficient reverse operation. The sealing surfaces may also be provided with recesses for interrupting the seal at predetermined points in the rotational cycle, for enhanced wear characteristics and/or to accommodate abrasive or shear-sensitive fluids.

    摘要: A fluid pump (10) or motor (100) includes a pair of enmeshed tapered rotors (22,24,122,124) having intersecting axes of rotation. The first rotor (22,122) includes a small low pressure end (34,54,134,154) and a larger high pressure end (32,52,132,152) and a spiral thread (36,56,136,156) that increases in width and depth as it progresses from the high pressure end (28,128) to the low pressure end (26,126). The second rotor (24,124) enmeshes with the first rotor (22,122), and has an identical structure, except that its threads (36,56,136,156) progress in the opposite direction. Both rotors (22,24,122,124) are mounted on sliding splines (42,62,142,162) which permit them to move, to a limited extent, into and out of their respective receiving cavities. The pressure on the high side (28,128) of the pump (10) or motor (100) tends to urge the rotors (22,122,24,124) against the walls (16,20,116,120) of the receiving cavities thereby improving their sealing capabilities and the overall efficiency of the pump (10) or motor (100) as a whole.
