摘要: The invention relates to an improved system of electro-mechanical hydraulic valve lifters for piston engine automobiles that increases fuel economy and reduces fuel emissions. The electro-mechanical hydraulic valve lifters contain that enclose a magnetorheological fluid chamber, containing magnetorheological fluid. A control module manages voltage sent to the magnetorheological fluid in the magnetorheological fluid chamber. The control module introduces various amounts of magnetic flux to the magnetorheological fluid in the magnetorheological fluid chamber. The magnetorheological fluid's viscosity changes based on the amount of magnetic flux applied to it from the electromagnets and, along with the magnetorheological fluid chamber spring, controls how much an intake and exhaust port of the spark plug engine opens to control the amount of fuel used and exhaust let out of the engine.

摘要: An engine roller lifter for use in a valve train of an internal combustion engine includes a body, an anti-rotation device and a clip. The body can have an outer peripheral surface configured for sliding movement in a bore provided in the engine. The body can define a receiving channel formed in the outer peripheral surface. The body can further define a slot formed at the receiving channel. The anti-rotation device can include a guide plug received in the receiving channel of the body. The guide plug can extend outwardly from the outer peripheral surface of the body. The guide plug can be configured to locate into a bore slot defined in a cylinder head of the internal combustion engine. The clip can be received by the slot and captured the guide plug in the receiving channel.

摘要: A lash adjuster includes a plunger having a bottom wall with a valve hole and a peripheral wall having an oil passage hole and an inner periphery formed with a recessed groove, the plunger defining a high-pressure chamber between the bottom wall and a body, and a partitioning member having an oil passage end located above the oil passage hole. The partitioning member has an oil-passage defining portion located opposite the recessed groove and defining an oil passage between itself and a groove face of the recessed groove. The partitioning member defines a low-pressure chamber reserving a hydraulic fluid flowing through the oil passage hole, the oil passage and the oil passage end. The low-pressure chamber causes the reserved hydraulic fluid to flow through the valve hole into the high-pressure chamber. The partitioning member is formed into a cylindrical shape and extends in an up-down direction without any stepped part.

摘要: A method for assembling a control valve in a hydraulic valve-lash compensation element, which is constructed for the control drive of an internal combustion engine as a reverse spring element is provided. According to the method, the compensation element is preassembled with a control valve spring (10), a ball (19), and a valve cap (20) of the control valve (11), so that the ball lift (21) caused by the construction of the control valve (11) is greater than a desired value required for the function of the element, after which the actual state of the ball lift (21) is measured and then the ball lift (21) is adjusted by deformation of the valve cap base acting as a contact surface (23) for the ball (19), in order to obtain the desired value of the ball lift (21) of the compensation element. In this way, for all of the compensation elements of the motor, the setting of the no-load lift to a constant value having only very small tolerances can be achieved.

The valve-drive component (1) has transmission elements (3, 4), which can be connected with a positive fit by coupling elements (8) in the transmission direction, in which force transmission surface sections (16) of the coupling elements (8) can be clamped between force transmission surface sections (20) of the transmission elements (3, 4). Here, at least one of the force transmission surface sections (16, 20) should be provided with a wear protection layer (23). This layer comprises at least one metal-free amorphous hydrocarbon layer with sp2-hybridized and sp3-hybridized carbon.

摘要: An internal combustion engine having a cylinder block defining a plurality of cylinders at least half of which are selectively deactivatable by a plurality of switching hydraulic lifters. A source of pressurized oil is provided. Additionally, at least one solenoid-actuated hydraulic control valve operates to selectively communicate pressurized oil from the source of pressurized oil to actuate the plurality of switching hydraulic lifters thereby deactivating the selectively deactivatable cylinders. The number of the solenoid-actuated hydraulic control valves is fewer than the number of selectively deactivatable cylinders.
