    摘要: A Savonius wind turbine has been noted in the past to have the capability to perform more efficiently than other drag-type vertical axis turbines when built according to certain parameters. The previous literature has missed seeing the ratio of the shaft diameter to the available space for wind to pass through in the center as the crucial relationship on which other improvements in this type of turbine can be built. The chord diameter and overlap distance all depend on the size of the central shaft and its ratio to the inner endpoints of the overlapping semicircular blades. The ratios for maximal efficiency are presented here. These efficient ratios also depend for their execution on the turbine rotating at an ideal tip speed ratio.

    摘要: A fluid turbine has semi-spherical, hollow blades arrayed about a vertical axis. The turbine's blade shape reduces drag on a convex side and increases drag on a concave side. Part of the center of the array of rotor blades is open, allowing flow through the center of the array. The spherical form enhances fluid flow through the center of the array and results in rotational force on a downwind blade, and directs fresh air into bypass flow. A combination of holes and a deflector surface generates vortices as updraft flow passes through holes, creating a pressure differential between the area surrounding the holes and the upper portions of the blade. Fluid passing from relatively higher pressure to relatively lower pressure passes the deflector surface, forming vortices that result in rotational force on the blades of the fluid turbine.

    摘要: A wind turbine includes a turbine housing, a turbine wheel system housed in the turbine housing, and a wind power converting system for converting kinetic energy generated by the turbine wheel system into electrical energy. The turbine wheel system includes a turbine rotor being driven to rotate circumferentially around an interior of the turbine housing, and a rail frame guiding a rotational movement of a turbine rotor. The wind turbine not only allows airflow to move across and through the turbine wheel system but also allows airflow to be directed and exhausted to maximize and control energy generation. The wind turbine is able to efficiently convert wind power to electrical power via a turbine wheel system which allows for the load generated to be distributed across the circumference of the turbine wheel system instead of localized in the center as the traditional wind turbine.

    摘要: A windmill generator is provided configured to produce electric current to a receiving device when flux lines of a magnetic field are crossed by a coil. The windmill generator comprises a coil frame armature around which a coil is wrapped. Rare earth magnets are disposed in proximity to the coil. A set of wings may be coupled to the coil frame armature. When motion is induced to the coil from the pushing effect of moving air pushing the set of wings, an electric field and electric current due are produced due to flux lines of the magnetic field of the magnet being crossed by the moving coil. Alternatively, the set of wings may be coupled to the at least one magnet. When motion is induced to a magnet, an electric field/electric current is produced.
