摘要:
An object of the present invention is to provide a method and a system for implementing the method so as to alleviate the disadvantages of a reciprocating combustion engine and gas turbine when generating power. The invention is based on the idea of arranging a combustion chamber (10) outside a turbine (22) and providing compressed air from serially connected compressors to an air chamber in which the air is heated and then exhausted to the combustion chamber in order to carry out a combustion process supplemented with high pressure steam pulses.

A gas turbine combustion instability control device has a combustion unit provided with a hollow combustion chamber, a gas turbine connected to the inside of the combustion chamber and a dynamic pressure sensor which is provided to the inside of the combustion chamber and measures the combustion dynamics of the inside of the combustion chamber; a diagnosis module which processes combustion dynamic pressure signals (p) according to the combustion dynamics measured by the dynamic pressure sensor to calculate the kurtosis value (k) of the dynamic pressure signals, and compares the same with a kurtosis reference value (kth) to evaluate the combustion instability; and a combustion control unit for controlling the operation of the combustion part according to the determination of the diagnosis module.

A fuel injector for injecting fuel in a burner of a gas turbine where the fuel injector has a body with an inner hole and a valve element which is slideably arranged inside the inner hole. The body has a fuel inlet which is formed into the body for injecting fuel into the inner hole, wherein the fuel inlet is coupleable to a fuel supply line. The body further has a first outlet channel connected to the inner hole, wherein the first outlet channel is further coupleable to a burner. The valve element has a first passage which is formed such that in a first position of the valve element inside the inner hole, the first passage connects the fuel inlet with the first outlet channel and in a second position of the valve element inside the inner hole.

A gas turbine may include a rotatable shaft, a compressor disposed about the rotatable shaft and configured to output compressed air, and a combustor disposed about the rotatable shaft. The combustor may be configured to receive the compressed air and output high temperature compressed gas. The gas turbine may further include a power turbine disposed about the rotatable shaft and configured to receive the high temperature compressed gas, and a first liner defining a plurality of holes and disposed around the combustor. The power turbine may be configured to expand the high temperature compressed gas and rotate the rotatable shaft. The first liner may have a first end and a longitudinally opposite second end. The first end may be coupled to an inner surface of the casing at or adjacent an upstream end of the combustor and the second end may be substantially free from any connection with the casing.

For a gas turbine engine (10), a method and apparatus for determining temperature of combustion gas in a flow path (17) of the engine. In one embodiment a waveguide (30) includes a cavity (36) with a first waveguide end (32) including a barrier layer (58) which may be a membrane. With the first end positioned to inject an acoustic signal into the flow path, the barrier layer (58) isolates the cavity from combustion gas. Acoustic instrumentation positioned along the surface (38i) of a wall (38) of the waveguide provides generation and propagation of acoustic signals into the flow path for detection and measurement after reflection back into the cavity. The wall may include sections of two different materials, one material having a higher melting temperature than the other, or one material having greater electrically isolating properties than the other section.

A gas turbine controller having a first generator for setting the flow rate of fuel or air being supplied to a combustor in correspondence with a target load, a sensor for detecting intake temperature of a compressor, a second generator for setting a correction amount of a set value of fuel flow rate or air flow rate based on the value detected by the sensor, a third generator for setting a modification amount of the correction amount while taking account of the target load, a first multiplier for operating a modified correction amount from a correction amount set by the second generator and a modification amount set by the third generator, and a second multiplier for calculating the flow rate of fuel or air being supplied to a combustor by adding the modified correction amount to the set value of fuel flow rate or air flow rate.

Compensation is provided for a fuel demand signal of a gas turbine controller during transition between operating modes. The compensation adjusts fuel demand to account for combustion efficiency differences between the starting and ending operating mode that otherwise can lead to severe swings in combustion reference temperature and lean blowout.
