Abstract:
A quick-release system for a quick-release device, in particular for a cycle, such as a bicycle, the device being of the type including an axially extending skewer and an end support element mounted on a first end of the skewer adapted to be supported on a first tightening surface of the cycle. The quick-release system includes a tightening sub-assembly including a support surface and an actuation sub-assembly including a movable actuating mechanism, capable of axial rotation around the skewer and configured to transmit a tightening torque to the tightening sub-assembly when the device is being tightened. The system includes tightening torque limiting mechanism making it possible to limit the torque transmitted by the actuation sub-assembly to the tightening sub-assembly.
Abstract:
Gas turbine engines systems and related methods involving dimensionally restored fasteners are provided. In this regard, a representative method for dimensionally restoring a mechanical fastener for a gas turbine engine includes: providing a mechanical fastener; and relocating existing material of the fastener such that a dimension of the fastener is restored.

Abstract:
A clamping gap nut, comprising: a) an internal thread (2) about a longitudinal axis (A) of said clamping gap nut; b) at least two gap ends (3, 4) which face each other tangentially and between them form a gap (5); c) and at least one tensioning element (10; 10a) connected to each of said gap ends (3, 4), for exerting a force on said gap ends (3, 4) which causes a relative movement of said gap ends (3, 4) in a tangential direction, wherein d) said at least one tensioning element (10; 10a) is connected, angularly movable, to at least one of said gap ends (3, 4) via a joint which compensates for a change in direction of said force caused by said relative movement of said gap ends (3, 4).
Abstract:
A fastener includes a head, and a shank extended from the head and formed integral with the head. The shank includes an outer peripheral portion having an outer thread formed along a portion or formed through the length of the shank. The fastener includes a socket cavity formed in both the head and the shank, for receiving the driving tools, and for allowing both the head and the shank to be solidly driven by the driving tools. The socket cavity may be formed in a portion of the shank, but may also be formed through the shank.
Abstract:
A connection structure of a lamp tube comprises a multi-sectional lamp tube having a front lamp tube and a rear lamp tube, a locking rod engaged in the interior of the multi-sectional lamp tube, and a buffer structure engaged to a distal end of the locking rod. The locking rod is a polygonal embedding section and a distal end thereof has a threaded section. The threaded section of the locking rod is inserted into a resisting block of the front lamp tube and then is exactly locked to the locking seat of the rear lamp tube. The middle section of the locking rod has an embedding section. The embedding section has a resisting block. A buffer structure between the locking rod and the resisting block serves to form a tightening buffer section. Thereby, the front lamp tube and rear lamp tube can be adjusted to an aligned position.
Abstract:
An expansion bolt assembly includes an elongated bolt body. The bolt body is formed with an externally threaded insert portion that is adapted to be inserted into a bore formed in a wall, and an anchoring portion that extends from the insert portion and that is adapted to extend out of the bore and to project from the wall. The anchoring portion includes an externally threaded shank and a turning unit. The turning unit is disposed on one end of the shank and is adapted to engage a tool for driving axial rotation of the bolt body. A washer is sleeved on the bolt body between the insert and anchoring portions, and is adapted to lie against the wall. A sleeve is sleeved on the insert portion and has a proximate section abutting against the washer, and a distal section opposite to the proximate section and formed with a plurality of axially extending slits. The sleeve cooperates with the insert portion to confine an annular expansion chamber therebetween. A nut engages threadedly the insert portion adjacent to the distal section of the sleeve. The nut is formed with a taper section that extends into the expansion chamber when the bolt body is driven to rotate relative to the nut.
Abstract:
The invention is one to provide a part mounting bolt, which is favorable in work efficiency since a latch member mounted on a pivot section does not fall off and there is no need of fitting the latch member onto the pivot section manually, in which a gear of resin is insert molded on an upper region of an external thread of a metallic bolt body to rotate a bolt about an axis, the part mounting bolt comprising a pivot section formed integrally on one end of the bolt body and made of the same material as that of the bolt body, and a latch member of resin integrally insert molded on the pivot section to fix a part on a mounted member.
Abstract:
A double ended stud fastening assembly with coaxially disposed stud shanks separated by an outwardly projecting rigid flange. The first shank includes a helical thread formed thereon in one direction and the second stud shank includes a helical thread formed thereon in a direction opposite the direction of the thread on the first shank. The surfaces of the rigid flange adjacent the first and second shank are substantially planar with the flange body extending perpendicular to the axis of the shanks so that when the second stud shank is mounted in a workpiece a subsequent attachment member placed over the first stud shank will be held in place by a nut.
Abstract:
A fastener for connecting two parts together including a flat body formed with a slot adjacent one edge for use in accepting a retaining slot on one part, a retaining groove on the opposite edge of the body for accepting a retaining tongue also on said one part, an opening in the center of the body with a pair of retaining arms adapted to accept and exert pressure on a ball stud connected to the other part.
