摘要： A centering device for mounting a flange with a bolt passing through a opening in a mounted state, has a centering disk with a collar surrounding a disk part. The disk part is received in the opening and the collar rests on the flange. An elongated hole in the disk part has, at its respective ends, semicircles of radii R and a straight piece connecting the semicircles of overall length L1. A centering sleeve has a sleeve part surrounded by a sleeve collar wherein the inside diameter D3 of the sleeve part corresponds to the diameter of the bolt and the outside diameter D2 of the sleeve part corresponds to the transverse diameter (2R) of the elongated hole. A locking device fixes the centering sleeve against the centering disk in a predetermined mounting position secure against displacement.

摘要： A plastic fastener is disclosed. The fastener may be employed in a vehicle generator. The fastener has a plastic body extending through an aperture of a first component and through an aperture of a second component. The body has a first distal head that retainingly abuts the opening of the aperture of the first component. The plastic body also has a second distal head that retainingly abuts the opening of the aperture of the second component. The configuration of the body secures the first component to the second component. The invention further provides a method of fastening components of a vehicular generator. A plastic body with first and second studs is over molded about a first generator component. At least one stud may be extended through an aperture of a second generator component. The studs are then formed into distal heads to secure the first component to the second component.

摘要： A swivel hook is described that is comprised of a hook body and a swivel connector. The hook body has a generally uniform thickness and is stamped from a sheet of material. A hook member formed at a first end and a longitudinally oriented stem, having a generally rectangular cross-section, formed at a second opposite end of the hook body. The swivel connector is pivotally securable over the stem and formed from a forged metal. The swivel connector has a generally circular bore of a size exceeding the rectangular cross-section of the stem such that the stem may be received through the bore to secure the swivel connector to the hook body while permitting rotational movement of the swivel connector about the stem. Also described is a method of constructing a swivel hook.

摘要： A blind fastener device for fastening at least two workpieces, including a sleeve, an expander having a tensioning section, a locking section, and an expansion section, and a nut. A portion of the expander passes through the sleeve to cooperate with the nut so that relative rotation of the expander and nut draws the expander's distal end toward the sleeve's proximal end thereby drawing a portion of the expansion section of the expander into a structural region located on the sleeve and expanding at least a portion of the sleeve's structural region, and drawing a portion of the locking section past the sleeve's distal end toward the sleeve's proximal end and deforming at least a portion of the sleeve's distal end to a locked state. The sleeve may be configured as a multi-section sleeve having a sleeve retainer to locate the sections in a predetermined relationship.

Also included is a method of manufacturing an anti-friction washer system including providing two zinc-coated washers, depositing a melted thermoplastic adhesive in a plurality of locations circumferentially around one surface of one of the washers, placing the other washer on top of the adhesive, applying pressure to the washers, and cooling the bonded washers.
