摘要: The invention relates to a continuously variable transmission with side speed regulating lead screw, and it comprises: a housing, a driving flat disc system, a power input system, a middle flat disc system, a power output system, a compaction system, a speed regulating ratio system of the middle flat disc, and serial and parallel structures. Since the previously most successful continuously variable transmission is the CVT continuously variable transmission, such continuously variable transmission transmits power depending on the conical disc and steel belt, and the limitation of the continuously variable transmission restrains the extensive application of such continuously variable transmission, whereas the continuously variable transmission of the invention transmits power depending on the mutual compaction between the driving flat disc and the middle flat disc as well as between the middle flat disc and the driven flat disc. The invention aims to solve the problem of too small transmission torque existing in previous continuously variable transmissions, and it realizes the objective of regulating the speed ratio by the movement of the middle flat disc up and down.

摘要: A pressure applying mechanism for a toric-drive Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) that comprises two opposed elements each with internal V-shaped ramp surfaces and at least three ball bearings interposed between the elements wherein rotation of one element causes the mechanism to expand in the longitudinal direction and thus generate an appropriate pressure between a drive disk and a driven disk. The invention further includes a pre-load mechanism comprising a washer for adjusting the pre-load on the pressure applying mechanism.

摘要: An infinitely variable or stepless mechanical speed changing mechanism for transforming a rotary output shaft speed of lower or higher speed than the input speed and respectively higher or lower output torque than the driving input torque. Interleaved stacks of relatively thin flexible laminates are keyed to the respective shafts with some freedom of interleaving accomodation and developing the required tangential tractive effort in the planes of the laminations by means of substantially dry non-viscous Coulomb friction forces due to the loading forces applied normal to the planes of the laminations on the stack ends in a direction to pinch together the interleaved laminations, and with said normal loading forces applied to the outer laminations in either input or output stacks, or in both, by means of loading ball-bearing like wheels whose convex outer surfaces roll with substantially no slip on said outer laminations.
