    摘要: A spring component for a ratcheting mechanism, such as a ratchet wrench. The spring component is shaped to be retained in a recess without any special machining. For example, the spring component can be retained at three abutment points. A leaf of the spring component can abut a pawl, and a base portion opposite the leaf can abut the drive gear. Support arms can abut the sidewall of the recess to retain the spring component within the recess without the need for special machining or tooling.

    摘要: A stepper actuator including a brake drum and a central gear mechanically connected thereto. The brake drum and the central gear are selectively rotatable in opposing first and second rotational directions. First and second actuation members are moveable through first and second actuation cycles to incrementally rotate the central gear. The actuation members engage and subsequently disengage the central gear as they move through their actuation cycles. The actuation members are configured to rotate the central gear during engagement therewith. A braking assembly is operatively connected to the first and second actuation members and is frictionally engaged to the brake drum to prevent rotation of the brake drum when the first and second actuation members are each in a retracted position as occurs when neither is moving through a corresponding actuation cycle. The braking assembly disengages the brake drum when one of the actuation members is moved from its retracted position and into its actuation cycle as facilitates the incremental rotation of the central gear.

    摘要: Disclosed is an apparatus wherein the reciprocation of a piston which is achieved utilizing air pressure causes movement of a pawl portion provided on the piston, and this movement in turn causes intermittent rotation of a spindle. In particular, according to the present invention, a pair of pawl members are used, and a selector lever is provided to permit only one of the pawl members to cause the rotation of the spindle. When the pawl member to be actuated is thus selected through the action of the selector lever, selection can be made as to the direction of rotation of the spindle.

    摘要: A high torque reversible stepping actuator for valves can drive in small increments in response to fluid pressue pulses. The stepping actuator has oppositely facing ratchet wheels on a common shaft linked to the stepping actuator output. A pair of operator means can drive the ratchet wheels in opposite directions. Each operator means comprises a fluid pressure actuator connected to a drive pawl for driving one of the ratchet wheels in one direction. A pair of locking pawls normally engage the ratchet wheels preventing rotation in either direction. The fluid pressure actuator disengages one of the locking pawls sequentially before engaging the drive pawl with the ratchet wheel, thereby permitting advance of the ratchet wheel. The other locking pawl remains engaged and prevents back drive of the ratchet wheels and stepping actuator due to elastic deformation of the drive train connecting the ratchet wheel with the valve or other mechanism being driven.

    摘要: A magnetic tape head indexing mechanism for use in a cartridgetype tape player, which is intended for positioning a sound recording and reproducing head, that is, a magnetic tape head, to the different tracks of the tape. The mechanism operates so as to enable first and second pawl members to be engaged with the ratchet wheel by a spring pressure and permit them to hold the ratchet wheel between themselves by the spring pressure, thus excluding the possibility of unnecessary ratchet wheel rotation and permitting steady indexing operation of the magnetic tape head. Positioning of the magnetic tape head to the different tracks of the tape is achieved by stepwise rotation of the ratchet wheel.
