Abstract: Valve systems include a valve and a valve actuator assembly for operating the valve. The valve actuator assembly includes a drive device and a hand wheel assembly that can independently be used to cause movement of the valve. An anti-back drive component is coupled to the output of the drive device, the hand wheel assembly, or both. The anti-back drive component includes a locking device and an unlocking device, each with respective protrusions that cooperate to define cavities that house pairs of springs and rollers. The shape and orientation of the cavities allows for rotation of the rollers in the cavities and the anti-back drive component by rotating the unlocking device, while preventing rotation of the rollers and the anti-back drive component via rotation of the locking device to selectively prevent rotation of the output of the drive device, hand wheel assembly, or both.

Abstract: In a drive unit attached to a vehicle-body frame of an electric-motor-assisted bicycle including a one-way clutch including an outer member, an inner member, a plurality of clutch lugs, a plurality of springs, and a plurality of pins. Clutch teeth are located on one of an inner peripheral portion of the outer member and an outer peripheral portion of the inner member. The clutch lugs and the springs are located on the other of the inner peripheral portion and the outer peripheral portion. A number of the clutch lugs is an even number not smaller than four. A number of the clutch teeth is an even number that is not a multiple of the number of the clutch lugs. A number of the springs is half the number of clutch lugs. Each spring exerts a biasing force on two of the clutch lugs that are circumferentially adjacent. Each pin is in contact with one of the springs.

Abstract: A decoupler is provided for rotationally driving a generator of an auxiliary-unit belt drive of an internal combustion engine, including: a pulley, a hub, and two bearing points, at which the pulley is rotatably supported on the hub, a series arrangement of a helical torsion spring and a one-way clutch, which allows the hub to overtake the pulley, and a spring plate, which is rotationally fixed in relation to the pulley or the hub, for the one spring end and a spring plate, which can be rotated in relation to the pulley and the hub, for the other spring end. The spring ends, which lie against ramp steps of the spring plates, radially expand the helical torsion spring as the driving torque is transmitted. The frictional torque, produced in one of the bearing points when the hub is overtaking, acts on the rotatable spring plate in a direction of rotation of the rotationally fixed spring plate. The other bearing point, according to the invention, has a part that is rotationally fixed in relation to the rotationally fixed spring plate, on which part the rotatable spring plate is supported, a further frictional torque thus being produced, which acts on the rotatable spring plate in the direction of rotation of the rotationally fixed spring plate.

A sleeve (1b) is configured from an inner-diameter-side sleeve (24) and an outer-diameter-side sleeve (25), a unidirectional clutch (3) is provided between the outer-diameter-side sleeve (25) and a pulley (2), and a coiled torsion spring (18a) capable of transmitting torque between the inner-diameter-side sleeve (24) and the outer-diameter-side sleeve (25) is provided between these members (24, 25). When the rotational speed of the pulley (2) becomes slower than the rotational speed of the outer-diameter-side sleeve (25), the inner-diameter-side sleeve (24) and the outer-diameter-side sleeve (25) rotate relative to one another due to the elastic force of the coiled torsion spring (18a), until the elastic force of the coiled torsion spring (18a) is released, after which the unidirectional clutch (3) becomes incapable of transmitting torque between the pulley (2) and the outer-diameter-side sleeve (25).
