摘要: A valve for conveying fluid has a closed position and an open position and comprises a body, a valve seat disposed in the body, a holder disposed in the body, and a valve seat disc. The valve seat comprises one or more inner surfaces and an outer surface, and the one or more inner surfaces define an inner void. The valve seat disc is connected to and movable with the holder between a first position in which the valve seat disc sealingly engages the outer surface of the valve seat and a second position in which the valve seat disc is disengaged from the outer surface of the valve seat. The valve is in the closed position when the valve seat disc is in the first position and the valve is in the open position when the valve seat disc is in the second position.

摘要: A check valve assembly for use with a liquid jet cutting system can include a check valve body a high-pressure fluid inlet on one end and a high-pressure fluid outlet on the other end along a central axis of the check valve body. The check valve body can have a first metallic seal surface on an outer surface of the check valve shaped to engage an endcap of the liquid jet cutting system to form a first seal. The assembly can include an annular low-pressure fluid chamber surrounding a portion of the check valve body and defined at least in part by an annular gasket, the check valve body, the first seal, and the endcap. The check valve body can include a low-pressure fluid channel, and a check valve positioned between the low-pressure fluid channel and a high-pressure fluid chamber.

摘要: To provide a check valve which can be used even under a high temperature condition by overcoming a drawback “valve element sticking to sealing member” associated with high temperature use while enhancing heat resistance. An opening of a fluid path formed in a first body is brought into a closed state by bringing a valve element biased by a biasing member into contact with a sealing member. The sealing member is formed of a post-cured perfluoro elastomer packing. An annular sealing portion which is brought into line contact with the sealing member is formed on the valve element.

摘要: A first seal portion forms, when seated on a first seated position, a valve side chamber blocked from a relief chamber to have an equivalent fluid pressure to fluid pressure in a pressure-controlled chamber. The first seal portion causes, when lifted from the first seated position on increase in fluid pressure in the pressure-controlled chamber, the valve side chamber to disappear and to communicate the relief chamber with the pressure-controlled chamber. A second seal portion partitions, when seated on a second seated position, a part of the valve side chamber from the other part of the valve side chamber. The second seal portion is configured to be lifted from the second seated position on increase in fluid pressure in the pressure-controlled chamber, before the first seal portion is lifted from the first seated position.

摘要: A hydraulically attenuated pressure relief valve incorporating a seal retainer disposed in the valve body and a valve member that is movable in a valve body between a position in contact with a seal to close the flowway therethrough and a second position above or apart from the seal to open the flowway. The seal retainer is restrained in the valve body by a body cap and engages the seal with sufficient energy to allow use of the valve in high pressure environments with improved seal function, durability, and maintainability. The pressure relief valve is designed without internal, wetted threads, thereby eliminating the possibility of leakage through the threads and/or damage to the valve body by erosion or washout of the threads.

摘要: A pressure relief valve which has a body including first and second openings for connection in a line and an interior wall defining a flow-through passageway extending from the first opening to the second opening. The body further includes a chamber having an inlet port and an outlet, the inlet port providing fluid communication between the chamber and the passageway. A guide is removably secured to the body and defines a bore extending into the chamber and an open-ended portion extending away from the chamber. A spindle is slidably disposed in the bore between a first position in which the port is open and a second position in which the disc seats in and closes the port. In the second position, the face of the disc exposed to the fluid in the passageway is recessed from the internal wall a distance no greater than one half the diameter of the passageway. A retention nut is threadingly secured to a portion of the spindle extending into the open-ended portion of the guide. A spring is disposed in the open-ended portion of the guide and bears on the spindle for biasing the spindle in the first position while fluid pressure is less than a set pressure. An adjusting screw is threadingly secured to the open-ended portion of the guide and bears against the spring for adjusting the compression of the spring and, accordingly, the set pressure.

摘要: A high pressure relief valve for use in a high pressure fluid pump is shown and described. In a preferred embodiment, a valve seat is provided with a tapered hole and with a conduit, the tapered hole and conduit being in fluid communication with each other and with fluid having a variable pressure. A tapered pin having grooves is held in the tapered hole by a control force, or control pressure acting through a plunger. When the pressure of the fluid is sufficiently high to overcome the control force or pressure, the tapered pin is forced to move sufficiently to create an annular clearance between the tapered pin and the tapered hole, thereby allowing pressurized fluid to flow past the pin to an outlet. An outer surface of the valve seat in a region of the tapered pin is tapered in an opposite direction to that of the tapered hole, thereby weakening the valve seat in that region, such that the tapered hole is able to expand and contract as the pressure of the fluid increases and decreases.
