    摘要: A quick release for a vacuum cleaner having a nozzle and a wand for providing suction to the nozzle comprises a tubular connector to be received by the nozzle. A resilient latch on the wand is received in an opening in the tubular connector to secure releasably the wand to the tubular connector. A biased sleeve is movable axially along the tubular connector. The sleeve has a cam surface to urge the latch inwardly to an extent to clear the opening against the bias when the sleeve is moved axially to permit the withdrawal of the wand from the tubular connector.

    摘要: The present disclosure relates to a connecting apparatus for connecting fluid-conducting lines comprising a first fluid-conducting line having a first connecting section, a second fluid-conducting line having a second connecting section, and a retention collar for fixing the connecting sections together. The second connecting section can be introduced axially into the first connecting section to provide a fluidic connection between the first and second fluid-conducting line. The retention collar has first retaining projections designed to engage into a first locking contour on the outer surface of the first fluid-conducting line. The retention collar has second retaining projections designed to engage into a second locking contour on the outer surface of the second fluid-conducting line. The first retaining projections engage into the first locking contour. The second retaining projections engage into the second locking contour to limit an axial displacement of the first connecting section relative to the second connecting section.

    摘要: An internal slip connector useful for attaching tools or other devices to the inside wall of a conduit, the connector having a mandrel with a head end, a threaded end, a reduced-diameter shaft section disposed between the head end and the threaded end, two abutting slip segments loosely disposed around the mandrel between the head end and an upper extending portion of the threaded end, and a nut threaded onto the mandrel below the slip segments. When tightened following insertion of the slip segments into the conduit, the nut causes the slip segments to slide radially outward along an oblique interface between them. Gripping surfaces disposed on the outside of the slip segments are thereby pressed into engagement with the inside wall of the conduit. The internal slip connector can be used with coiled tubing of various wall thicknesses and is easily released after loosening the threaded nut.

    摘要: Adaptor assemblies are detailed. Preferably for connecting automatic pool cleaning apparatus to return lines of swimming pool water-circulation systems, the assemblies utilize spurs that may affirmatively grip, or cut or gouge into, the return lines to retain the adaptors in position. Releasing the adaptors may occur with use of a release line which retracts the spurs when activated. Avoiding release of the spurs through rotation of the assemblies allows rotation for other purposes as, for example, to connect the device to a hose or other apparatus. A bellows or other assembly additionally may be included with the assemblies to facilitate their sealing against walls or other surfaces in which the return lines are embedded.
