摘要: This disclosure relates generally to corrugated pipe, and more particularly to corrugated pipe with an outer wrap. In one embodiment, a pipe includes an axially extended bore defined by a corrugated outer wall having axially adjacent, outwardly-extending corrugation crests, separated by corrugation valleys. The pipe also includes an outer wrap applied to the outer wall. The outer wrap may include fibers and plastic. The outer wrap may span the corrugation crests producing a smooth outer surface.

摘要: A method, device and processing system for a G-ZED “Gaseous Zero Emissions Device” for the inspection, detection and management of gaseous permeation through composite pipe structures, termed Reinforced Thermoplastic Pipe, non-metallic or partially metallic composite pipelines and conduits, or cured type structure, and instrumented with inventive monitoring, inspection and communication systems, prefabricated, and delivered for installation, in existing lined or free-standing pipes with minimal disturbance to the operation of such pipelines. The device has a cylindrical gas chamber surrounding a portion of a continuous multilayered composite pipe to capture permeated gas directed into the gas chamber and then to a compression chamber for pressure separation, reclamation and reinjection into the pipeline gas flow or to storage. The device is monitored and controlled through individual embedded sensors, reader/activator fiber optic sensing and transmission, data transmission and a computer system for receiving and processing information.

In one embodiment, a metal tube includes an elongate bore having a circular transverse cross-sectional shape. The metal tube also includes an elongate wall extending around the bore and having an annular transverse cross-sectional shape with an inner surface closest to the bore, an outer surface furthest from the bore, and a wall thickness extending from the inner surface to the outer surface. An inner portion of the wall is under swage-autofrettage-induced overall compressive stress.

摘要: In a first embodiment, at a time of magnetic pulse welding, a stepped tube profile machining process axially bores a walled tube from an end inward to a transition depth to form a section with a reduced wall thickness and then axially bores the walled tube from the transition depth to a fall off depth, thereby forming a section with a maximized welding wall section. In a second embodiment, also at a time of magnetic pulse welding, a surface angle tube profile machining process axially bores at a surface angle a walled tube from an end to a bore length to form an angular welding wall thickness inward to a maximized wall section. For both embodiments, the bored surfaces are virgin with no pits, oil, residue, or oxidation thereon, thus making the machined walled tubes available for immediate magnetic pulse welding.
