    摘要: A system for providing a combined water and fire display is provided. More specifically, a decorative display comprises a dynamic water and fire display device where fuel/air, water, and fire are integrated. The decorative display provides for unique aesthetic qualities and an appearance wherein flames are positioned at or near the surface of a volume of water. In various embodiments, the decorative display further comprises various safety features including the ability to detect and self-regulate conditions such as the existence and/or absence of a pilot flame, an adequate amount of water, and the temperature of various portions of the system. The decorative display further contemplates the ability to operate without one or more disclosed features, such as when only a water display or only a fire display is desired.

    摘要: Pilot light gas line connector assemblies and methods for cleaning a pilot light orifice are disclosed herein. An exemplary connector assembly for coupling to a pilot light gas line and cleaning a pilot orifice has a first fitting end, a second fitting end, and a passageway therebetween. The first fitting end is adapted to receive a first end of the pilot light gas line and the second fitting end is adapted to receive a valve capable of directing forced air from a forced air source into the second fitting end. Methods of cleaning a pilot orifice of a pilot light system include removing the pilot light gas line from a gas port and coupling the pilot light gas line to a pilot light gas line connector assembly. Then forced air is directed into the connector assembly and through pilot light gas line thereby cleaning the pilot orifice.

    摘要: A fuel-fired water heater has main and pilot burners disposed in its combustion chamber. Illustratively, all of the primary combustion air utilized by the main and pilot burners during firing thereof is supplied thereto via an enclosed path extending to the burners from outside of the combustion chamber. A burner clogging detection system is operative to shut down further combustion, upon sensing a condition of the pilot burner flame indicative of a predetermined degree of pilot burner clogging, prior to the main burner being clogged to an unacceptable degree by particulate matter entrained in incoming combustion air being delivered to the main burner.

    摘要: A burner control system for an intermittent pilot burner system uses a single pole double throw relay to control first and second electromagnetic valves respectively supplying fuel for both burners and for the main burner only. The normally open contact pair supplies the current for the first and the normally closed contact pair supplies the current for the second valve. By selecting the valve supplying fuel for both burners to be of the type which has an appreciably higher pull-in current than drop-out current, and by shunting the relay's normally open contacts with a properly selected resistor, only a single relay is necessary. This resistor is selected to supply current sufficient to hold the valve open (current greater than the drop-out value) after the valve has received pull-in current through the closing of these normally open contacts, but insufficient to open the valve. Use of a single relay reduces cost, size, and power, and increases safety of the control system.
