    摘要: A temperature modifying system for a building having windows, some of which are exposed to the direct rays of the sun and some of which are not. The system includes a plurality of double paned windows, a heat exchange unit, an air ducting system interconnecting the windows and heat exchange unit, and an air handling unit for forcing air through the ducting system. The air moves sequentially through the heat exchange unit, the air handling unit, the ducting to the windows, through the double paned windows and back through ducting to the heat exchange unit. Each window includes parallel transparent panels spaced apart in a conventional manner, but including apertures for the entrance and exit of air conducted through the system. Light and heat reflecting slat means are mounted between the parallel panels to reflect outwardly the radiant heat from the sun. A temperature sensing device is mounted to measure the temperature of the air exiting from each active window unit. The temperature sensing device is connected with apparatus to regulate valving structure which controls the volume of air admitted to the window enclosure between the panels, i.e., with an increase in temperature the valving structure will move to increase the volume of air passing into the enclosure and thereby remove more heat from the enclosure to reduce the temperature of the exiting air.

    摘要: Building environmental control systems are disclosed which comprise one or more prefabricated temperature sensing and control panels in operable communication with a system control unit, an air handling system, and a heating and/or cooling utility supply system. The panels are configured to constitute a portion of the sheathing of a building or an internal partition. According to some embodiments, the panels include an outer wall and an inner wall defining an inner space therebetween in which is situated a heat exchanger and a temperature sensor. Each panel comprises an inlet to admit an air stream into its inner space and an outlet for discharging the air stream into a space adjacent to the inner wall after having been thermally conditioned by the heat exchanger.

    摘要: The present invention refers to a heating and air-conditioning system for one or multi-storied buildings with multi-glazed windows contained in the facade of the building. A fresh air entrance arrangement is disposed below at least one of these windows on the outside of the facade of the building. A fresh air processing device is connected to the fresh air entrance arrangement with means to filter, heat or cool and humidify the fresh air and to expel the same over a distributing cavity arranged beneath the window. The distributing cavity is connected to a window cavity between the panes of the multi-glazed windows. An entrance opening arranged at the top end of the window, connected to the window cavity, extends over a good part of the width of the window and opens out toward the room to be air conditioned. A stale air flow out arrangement controlled by valves directs stale air out of the room.

    摘要: There is provided a paned window or door structure in which a plurality of Peltier cells are present. The paned elements have a frame with a fixed portion (2′) and a mobile portion (2″) in which at least one double glazing unit (3) is present, it being provided that in the interspace present in the double glazing unit, at an edge that is arranged in the mobile portion (2″) of the frame, a plurality of Peltier cells (11) are present. The Peltier cells are in contact with an element for dissipating heat towards the outside (12), made of optimal heat conduction material, which has a portion thereof (12′) arranged at the external surface of the door or window. On each of the cells (11), a sheet is superimposed made of material with high heat conductivity, acting as a heat sink (13) for dissipating towards the interior of the double glazing unit.

    摘要: A window unit is provided for reducing heat loss through the window while at the same time providing a desirable inflow of prewarmed ventilation air to maintain interior air quality and thermal comfort. The window unit comprises an outer window frame and a sash frame designed to support an inner dual pane sealed window unit together with a separate outer single pane thus providing a triple pane action. The sash frame is also modified to provide a slot at the lower edge for entry of exterior air into a channel defined between the outer pane and the outer surface of the sealed window unit. The building is maintained at reduced pressure to cause air to flow in a laminar action along the channel toward a slot above the top of the sealed window unit so that heat escaping from the outer pane of the sealed window unit is carried by the laminar air flow back through the upper slot and into the interior of the building. A control unit including a manually actuable damper, a back draft damper and a nozzle is arranged at the upper slot to direct the air toward the ceiling.
