摘要: A system and method for determining a discharge event of a firearm includes receiving, by an event detection module, acceleration input signals and rotation input signals. An acceleration vector magnitude is calculated from the acceleration signals. The acceleration vector magnitude is compared to a threshold acceleration. A sample event candidate is assigned to the acceleration vector magnitude based on the comparing. The sample event candidate comprises the acceleration input signals and the rotation input signals for a predetermined duration of time. The sample event candidate is received at a machine learning module. Characteristics of the discharge event detected are determined including ammunition type based on the acceleration and rotation input signals in the sample event candidate.

摘要: A system and method for determining a performance metric based on a discharge event of a firearm includes a first inertial measurement unit (IMU) and a first event detection module. The first IMU is disposed on a first firearm and senses movement including at least one of accelerations and rotations. The first event detection module can receive a plurality of first input signals from the first IMU indicative of the movement. The first event detection module can identify an occurrence of a first shot discharge of the first firearm at a shot time based on the plurality of first input signals; determine a first orientation of the first firearm at the shot time; determine a second orientation of the first firearm at a first time before the shot time; compare the first and second orientations; and assign a first stability index based on the first and second orientations.

摘要: A system and method for determining an operational status of a firearm based on a discharge event is provided. A first acceleration is measured on the firearm at a first time. A second acceleration is measured on the firearm at a second time. A measured shot separation of first and second accelerations between the first and second times is calculated. The measured shot separation is compared to at least one shot separation threshold. A speed of a movement member in the firearm is assigned based on the comparing. The operational status of the firearm is determined based on the assigned speed. The operational status is communicated to a first user of the firearm in real-time.

摘要: Systems and methods are provided for monitoring geolocations of a plurality of weapons within a deployment location, where each of the weapons includes one or more sensors that produce more or more signals, including a response infrastructure configured for management of the weapons, a server device running application software that uses the one or more signals received from each of the weapons to detect a geolocation of a weapon and causes the response infrastructure to determine if the detected geolocation of the weapon conforms to the stored rule regarding the permitted weapon geolocation, and a threat detection and analysis module that performs an action based on a confirmation that the detected geolocation of the weapon does not conform to the stored rule regarding the permitted weapon geolocation.

摘要: A training method and apparatus are disclosed. The training method may include converting a firearm capable of firing live ammunition to a pneumatic training device incapable of firing live ammunition. The training method may further include cycling a pneumatic training device through one or more cycles. Each of the cycles may simulate an actual firing of the firearm. Each of the cycles may also include triggering a trigger assembly of the pneumatic training device, using a charge of a pressurized gas to reset the trigger assembly, and advancing a counter of the pneumatic training device. After a certain number of cycles have been completed, a next cycle may be attempted, but not completed. Accordingly, the training method may enable a user to safely and realistically practice reloading, jam or malfunction clearing, or the like.

摘要: A simulated magazine useful to provide for simulated firing of a firearm includes a cycling lever arm which is depressed once every time the firearm is cycled; a linearly shaped counting plunger; a plunger spring biasing the plunger in an upward position; and a spring assembly connected to the cycling lever arm and acting upon the plunger. Depression of the cycling lever arm causes the plunger to move incrementally upward. When the plunger is in a fully up state, a slide catch trigger extends upward from the magazine, the slide catch trigger causing a slide of the firearm to remain in a back, open state.

摘要: A device for detecting shots fired by a handgun contains an acceleration sensor that is implemented to measure the acceleration of the hand, a noise sensor that is implemented to measure the sound pressure level of the sound of the shot, and a processing unit, to which the acceleration sensor and the noise sensor are connected and to which the measurement results of the acceleration sensor and of the noise sensor are forwarded. The device is implemented to detect a shot if the respective signals forwarded by the acceleration sensor and the noise sensor each exceed a predetermined threshold value within a predetermined time period. The device has an attachment for attaching the acceleration sensor and the noise sensor to a hand and/or to a wrist, in particular so as to move in synchronism with the hand and/or wrist.

摘要: Embodiments are directed to capturing data associated with an occurrence of an event via a battery-powered recorder, comprising: storing analog data in a delay circuit while a recording circuit is powered off, detecting, by a trigger circuit, the occurrence of the event while the recording circuit is powered off, powering-on the recording circuit based on the detection of the event, converting samples of analog data associated with the event provided by the delay circuit to a digital format while the recording circuit powers on, and storing the converted digital samples after the recording circuit has powered on, wherein a time delay associated with the delay circuit is greater than a time it takes for the recording circuit to power-on.
