    摘要: The projectile-launcher operation monitoring device includes at least one displacement-sensor and a processor coupled with the displacement-sensor. The displacement-sensor acquires measurements relating to the displacement of the projectile-launcher and to produce a sampled time signal of values relating to the displacement. The processor receives from the displacement-sensor the sampled time signal to determine projectile-launcher operation parameters therefrom, by employing a deep-learning system. The deep-learning system includes an encoder receiving sample-frames from the sampled time signal producing codes relating to the sample-frames. Each of the codes is a vector of values relating to the probabilities of features in the received sample-frames.

    摘要: A firearm usage monitoring system configured to store data about location, movement, orientation, and direction of a firearm while in use and includes a hard-wired data and power connection, configured to receive data and power from a wired source. A serial communication system is communicatively coupled to the data and power connection and configured to send data to and receive data from the data and power connection. A microprocessor sends data to and receives data from the serial communication system. A motion monitor is communicatively coupled to the microprocessor module further comprising a gyroscope, an accelerometer and a compass configured to communicate data about movement, orientation, and direction of the firearm. Memory is communicatively coupled to the microprocessor and the motion monitor.     摘要: An energy harvesting device for accurately counting rounds fired by a firearm comprises a piezoelectric element for mechanical coupling to the barrel of the firearm. The piezoelectric element may produce a voltage waveform in response to the mechanical vibrations from a round passing through the barrel, which may power a microcontroller. The microcontroller may determine the rate of change of the voltage waveform to determine if a live round was fired. The microcontroller may be in communication with an RFID chip. The microcontroller may read the value on the RFID chip, increment the value of the RFID chip in response to being turned on by the voltage waveform, and then store the incremented value on the RFID chip. An armorer may remotely check the value of the RFID chip.

    摘要: After determining that a gunshot has been fired, particularly indoors, the method of the invention is employed to determining the number of gunshots fired by analyzing consecutive windows of time over a certain time period. That is, after it is determined that a gun has been fired, the method is employed to identify that the gun is an automatic or rapid fire weapon by quickly counting the number of rounds shot over short periods of time. This information can be used to provide shooting details, both in connection with notifying emergency personnel and enabling the personnel to assess details of the shooting incident.
