    摘要: A device implementable on a firearm includes a monolithic upper receiver, comprising an upper receiver portion and a handguard portion, which is configured to accommodate non-proprietary barrel assemblies dimensioned according to United States military standard (mil-spec) barrel assembly dimensions and non-proprietary bolt carrier groups (BCGs) dimensioned according to mil-spec BCG dimensions. The device also includes a charging handle assembly configured to be coupled to an operating rod of a gas system of the firearm and forward of a BCG of the firearm. The device further includes a barrel locking system including a locking plate and a locking screw. When the locking screw is screwed into a threaded hole on the locking plate, the locking plate engages with a side of a barrel extension of the barrel assembly in a radial directions perpendicular to a longitudinal axis of the barrel assembly.

    摘要: Quick take-down firearms and methods of using quick-take down firearms. The quick-take down includes an upper receiver coupling and a barrel coupling. The quick take-down can be unlocked by sliding a sliding lock collar in a translational motion to an unlocked position to release locking elements from a locked configuration. In the unlocked position, a barrel and handguard may be installed onto and removed from the upper receiver of the firearm. Releasing the sliding lock collar returns it to a locked position, securing the barrel and handguard to the upper receiver.

    摘要: A noise suppressor for mounting on a distal end of a rifle barrel. The suppressor is made up of an inner core component and an outer sleeve component which is received about the inner core component, creating a gas-receiving chamber between the two. The inner core component an internally threaded, barrel receiving end which receives and engages the exteriorly threaded end of the rifle barrel in overlapping fashion, an oppositely arranged exteriorly threaded end, and a central bore between the two ends which allows the passage of a bullet when the bullet is fired, firing of the bullet also setting off hot exhaust gases in the central bore. The inner core component has window openings for exhausting hot gases from the inner chamber into the surrounding outer chamber and also has an exterior longitudinal region forward of the central chamber, the exterior region having a series of longitudinally aligned, upwardly extending teeth formed therein for diverting the hot, high speed gases contacting the upwardly extending teeth.

    摘要: A firearm with barrel extension comprises a receiver, a barrel supported by the receiver that defines an ammunition shell chamber, and a rotatable locking bolt having radial bolt lugs. The bolt is carried by a slide disposed in the receiver for forward and rearward movement. A barrel extension is mounted on a rear end of the barrel which includes radial bolt locking lugs that rotatably engage the bolt lugs when the bolt is in a closed locked breech position in battery with the head of a chambered shell. The barrel extension includes a rear facing annular rim seating surface formed integrally on the barrel extension as a unitary structural part thereof. The rim seating surface extends radially inwards from an interior surface of the barrel extension to engage and support the rear rim of the chambered shell. The headspacing is defined entirely by the barrel extension independently of the barrel.

The hand guard at least partially encloses at least a portion of the barrel and the barrel nut, and the cutout is at least partially aligned with the barrel nut. At least a portion of the barrel nut is accessible via the cutout of the hand guard for at least partially disengaging and engaging the barrel nut with the receiver when the hand guard is mounted on the receiver.

    摘要: A method is shown for increasing rifle accuracy. The rifle component parts are tuned for hitting a target at the same spot for a given fixed distance. The characteristics of the rifle barrel design give it an infinitely tunable positive compensation. The positive compensation characteristics of the rifle can be varied by adjusting a tensioning bar welded to the rifle recoil lug and an associated adjustment knob extending from the action to the exterior of the rifle stock. Increasing the tension on the tensioning bar reduces the upswing of the rifle barrel from the stock under the force of recoil.
