    摘要: A caseless cartridge with a projectile, a propellant, and an ignition source. The ignition source is configured to ignite the propellant in response to an activation of the firearm. The propellant is molded around the projectile and is configured to propel the projectile from the firearm upon ignition. When the firearm is activated, the propellant is consumed, and the projectile and the ignition source are discharged from the firearm. The projectile has a bullet, an ignition housing, and a shaft. The bullet is positioned on a leading end of the projectile, while the ignition housing is positioned on a trailing end opposite the leading end. The shaft extends between the projectile and the ignition housing. The projectile may also have a plurality of fins to stabilize the projectile during flight and a plurality of ignition ports. The ignition source may ignite the propellant through the plurality of ignition ports.

    摘要: When combined with a metal point, this ten inch plastic pistol crossbow bolt is designed to extend past the barrel of a pistol crossbow so it can be used for recreational shooting, competition shooting, small game hunting, pistol crossbow fishing and pistol crossbow scuba fishing.The main fault of the standard bolt for a pistol crossbow is they are less than seven inches in length and do not extend past the end of a pistol crossbow barrel. Therefore, their use is limited to target points and recreational shooting only. Other faults of the standard short bolts are their high travel speed. They are very difficult to be viewed in flight, causing most bolts to be lost after one use. Also, their irretrievability from any commonly used target. Therefore, they cannot be found and scored in any type of shooting competition.This ten inch bolt is a solid one piece unit made of a strong but, light weight plastic compound. It has a NOCK to securely hold the bow string in place. Most bolts do not have a nock. It has two FLAT WINGS and a stabilizing TAIL which creates an accurate and stable bolt flight. No other bolt has flat wings or a tail. These features allow this bolt to be easily viewed in flight. This also allows this bolt to be used for competition shooting because these bolts can be easily located, scored and then retrieved from any type competition target. The shaft has a THREADED TIP to accept almost any type metal point.

    摘要: A guiding assembly is adapted to be connected to a projectile and comprising a rear main unit adapted to be connected to the front end of the projectile, and a front main unit rotatably connected at its rear end to the front end of the rear main unit. The front main unit is adapted to rotate about a central longitudinal axis. A relative speed control unit is operable between the rear main unit and the front main unit and capable of providing spin braking force to slow the relative speed of rotation of the front main unit. An at least one guiding fin radially extends from the front main unit. The pitch angle of the fin is controllable by a return spring connected to the fin so that the pitch angle of the fin is growing as the aerodynamic pressure on the fin lowers and it is growing smaller as the aerodynamic pressure on the fin gets bigger.

The one or more canards are adjustable between two or more canard configurations. The first and second canard angles are different. In another example, in the first canard configuration the one or more canards include a first canard shape configured to provide a first specified trajectory with the first projectile.     摘要: According to one embodiment of the invention, an apparatus comprises a passive cooling system and a portion of an air vehicle which receives thermal energy. The passive cooling system is disposed adjacent the portion of the air vehicle and comprises a fluid transfer chamber. A fluid transfer element and a coolant are disposed within the fluid transfer chamber. The fluid transfer element wicks a portion of the coolant towards the portion of the air vehicle. The portion of the coolant wicked towards the portion of the air vehicle absorb at least a portion of the thermal energy in a boiling heat transfer.

    摘要: The invention is a flight kit that can be retrofitted to existing navy sonobuoys. The invention gives sonobuoys the capability of self-deployment, allowing them to be sent to a location remotely without the use of manned aircraft or recoverable unmanned air vehicles. This capability is advantageous in instances where it is desired to place a sonobuoy in an area hostile or hazardous to manned aircraft. The invention is an attachment of a GPS navigation and control system, wings, control surfaces, and a propulsion system, onto a naval size-A sonobuoy, using the sonobuoy as the central structural load-bearing component of the assembly. The invention navigates from a launch point on a ship to a designated position, where the sonobuoy separates from the invention, using the wings' aerodynamic forces to mechanically assist in separating the sonobuoy from the flight kit. The sonobuoy and the flight kit enter the water separately to ensure no interference with the sonobuoy.
