    摘要: The present invention relates to a hand grenade comprising a main body (10), an actuator (14) releasably fixed to the main body (10), an actuator-ejection mechanism, and a charge to be released, which includes an automatic-identification device (34) embedded in the actuator. The invention further relates to a grenade actuator of the EOT-type (Espoleta de Ogiva de Tempo, time fuse point), which comprises an automatic-identification device (34) embedded therein. The present invention can also materialize in the form of a method of manufacturing a hand-grenade actuator, according to which it is provided a housing for an automatic-identification device in the actuator body. Indeed, the method of manufacturing the actuator further includes providing said housing with a cylindrical shape and then inserting an equally cylindrical automatic-identification device into said housing.

The system includes a transmitter and one or more radio frequency reflectors that are coupled to a projectile. After the projectile is shot, a user utilizes the transmitter to locate the reflector. The user may use the transmitter to locate the animal. In other cases, at least one reflector is integrally coupled to the projectile while another is selectively coupled to the projectile. Accordingly, the user can locate the projectile and the animal.

    摘要: A high velocity acoustic signal producing underwater shotgun system for dispersing a plurality of relatively small supercavitating projectiles over a wide spatial field at long range using the dynamics of cavity collapse for better target localization in underwater mine clearance. A typical supercavitating projectile design is enhanced to produce a two-staged projectile in order to accomplish this innovation. The first stage of the two stage design allows for the long range firing underwater typical of a supercavitating projectile while the second stage permits the coverage of a wide area with a plurality of small supercavitating projectiles just as the first stage projectile reaches its fixed range. A distinctive feature of the radiated noise from a supercavitating projectile contacting a solid object is used in conjunction with the two stage projectile design to provide a system for underwater mine clearance verification. The distinctive noise signal may also be used in conjunction with an underwater targeting system to help identify, localize and track targets as well.

    摘要: A weapon simulation system includes a simulated weapon and simulated munition, with the simulated weapon being in electrical communication with a primary simulation computer and an instructor computing station. The simulated munition includes an RFID tag installed therein, with the RFID tag having information about the particular simulated munition. When the simulated munition is placed in an insert in the simulated weapon, an RFID transceiver in the simulated weapon will read the information from the RFID tag using an antenna, and further transmit the identification information of the simulated munition to a weapon controller. The weapon controller is further in electrical communication with a primary simulation computer generating a simulation, which is in electrical communication with an instructor computer.

    摘要: A shotgun shell tracer includes a base wall, an obturator, and an edge wall extending from the base wall opposite to the obturator. A chamber support may be engaged to the base wall extending from the base wall within the internal space of the tracer. The shotgun shell tracer may additionally include a tracer insert which may encircle the chamber support. Discharge of a shotgun shell in some embodiments will exert pressure on projectiles which fuse the tracer insert to the base wall and the chamber support, and embed the projectiles into the tracer insert, establishing ballast for the shotgun shell tracer. The chamber support in one embodiment may be a modified spike. The ballast in one embodiment may be a washer replacing embedded projectiles. A conveyor may be used to transport tracer carriers during manufacture of a tracer.

    摘要: A projectile includes a component that is highly reflective and configured to reveal the projectile's trajectory when the projectile is fired from a gun and electromagnetic radiation is directed toward the projectile. With the reflective component, one can more easily limit the visibility of the projectile to areas from where the projectile was fired because the reflective component is passive, not active. As the projectile moves down range, the areas behind the projectile are typically where a shooter and/or spotter for the shooter are located, not where an enemy combatant is located. Thus, the trajectory of the projectile is revealed to the people who can use the information to adjust their fire, and remains hidden from the people who could use the information to locate the shooter.
