摘要： A projectile includes a hollow body carrying a payload formed of inert sub-projectiles that can be dispersed on trajectory contained in a cup including a piston closing one of its ends, the body at its rear part with a base housing a pyrotechnic charge separated from the sub-projectiles by the piston, which can translate with respect to the body of the projectile to push the cup and the sub-projectiles axially out of the body. The cup is formed of independent sectors. The piston is secured to the sectors when contained in the body and the cup is secured to the body by a connecting apparatus weakened to break under the force of the piston pushed by the gases generated by the pyrotechnic charge. An ogive is secured to the cup by a securing apparatus that is coaxial with the longitudinal axis of the projectile and locked by the sectors.

摘要： A flechette for use with a gun barrel having a tapered bore with a diameter at the initial bore section greater than the diameter at the emergent bore. The flechette includes a body constructed of a ductile material and having an elongated axis aligned with the axis of the tapered bore when positioned in the load end of the bore. The body also includes a cylindrical bulkhead as well as a bourrelet that are axially spaced from each other along the flechette and have an outside diameter substantially the same as the diameter at the initial bore section of the tapered bore. An elongated boom is attached at the tail end of the body while a penetrator is attached at the forward end of the body. Upon launch, both the bulkhead and bourrelet are compressed radially inward by the bore reduction so that the body is substantially cylindrical upon exit from the discharge end of the bore.

摘要： A cartridge for a firearm has a bullet that defines an internal chamber. The chamber has a broader top portion than a lower portion. The bullet further defines a channel passage leading out of the top end of the bullet. The bullet contains an arrowhead slidable engaged within the channel passage. A shaft is connected to the arrowhead and passes down from the arrowhead into the lower portion of the chamber. A thrust plate is connected to the shaft end in the chamber. The thrust plate is spring metal and when the cartridge is fired, the thrust plate rises pushing the arrowhead so that it extends from the leading end of the bullet. When the thrust plate rises to the second portion of the chamber, it springs open to prevent subsequent downward motion of the thrust plate and consequently prevents subsequent retraction of the arrowhead during flight and after impact.
