摘要:
The present invention relates to a composition having improved or enhanced fidelity and/or longevity of the fragrance profile, comprising fragrance materials in a diamond construction and at least one substantially non-odorous fragrance modulator. The invention also relates to methods of use of the compositions for perfuming suitable substrates, including hard surfaces and body parts, particularly skin and hair.

Shot shells with enhanced performance due to inclusion of an absorber between the shot wad and the shot payload. The absorber reduces the pressure within a shot gun's chamber during firing of the shell, such as by absorbing energy generated during the firing process, and may thereafter return some of the energy to the pellets as the absorber and pellets are propelled along the fireman's barrel. Accordingly, the absorber enables a shot shell to generate shot payload velocities that are greater than would be achieved without the absorber, typically at a lower internal chamber pressure. In some embodiments, the absorber has (1) a Young's Modulus of less than 2,000 psi (137.9 bar), (2) a compressive strength of at least 100 psi (6.9 bar) and/or less than 10,000 psi (689.5 bar), and/or (3) a tensile strength of at least 145 psi (10 bar) and/or less than 10,000 psi (689.5 bar).

A wad or shot cup having a forward cylinder portion receiving a payload and a rear cylinder portion receiving a charge of propellant. One or more latent deceleration features can be formed in a surface of the sidewall extending along the rear cylinder portion. The latent deceleration features can be spaced apart from a rearward end of the shot cup and can be deployed to form deceleration petals after the shot cup is fired from a firearm. A series of longitudinal slits can be formed in the forward cylinder portion so that a portion of the sidewall expands radially adjacent the longitudinal slits after the shot cup is fired from a firearm for urging at least a portion of the payload to exit the forward cylinder portion.

A safety bolt and less lethal ammunition system for use with a firearm, such as a shotgun, is provided. The system includes a safety bolt operatively coupled within the shotgun. The safety bolt has a bolt head with a recessed bolt-face and a firing pin. The firing pin does not extend beyond an end surface of the bolt head during operation of the firing pin. The system further includes a less lethal round loaded within the firearm, such as a shotgun, wherein the less lethal shotgun round includes a case-head having a protrusion extending therefrom and a primer on the protrusion. The protrusion corresponds with the recessed bolt-face of the safety bolt. The firing pin engages the primer when the protrusion of the case head is received within the recessed bolt-face. The firing pin cannot engage the primer of a lethal round because of the recessed bolt.

A gun cartridge such as a shotgun shell wherein the pellet load is contained in a projectile consisting of a frangible casing and a MV element wherein the MV element imparts long range travel and accuracy to the projectile and wherein the frangible casing readily breaks apart on impact with the target and allows the pellets to disperse in typical array.

Shotshell type ammunition includes a hull, a wad member disposed within the hull, and at least one projectile disposed within at least partially the hull. The hull has a rimless proximal end that includes a primer for firing the ammunition. The hull also has a seat surface for seating the hull against a complementary seat surface in a firing chamber of a firearm. The seat surface is located a distance from an outer end surface of the hull at the rimless proximal end. The hull further includes an outer side surface extending from the rimless proximal end of the hull to the seat surface of the hull. Methods of fabricating such ammunition include forming such a hull, and providing a wad member and one or more projectiles at least partially within the hull.

Corrosion-inhibited copper-containing projectiles and shot shells including the same. The projectiles include a core that is formed from a core material, and an outer coating that is formed from a coating material. The core material includes copper, and optionally may include at least 50 wt % copper. In some embodiments, the outer coating maintains a corrosion rate of copper within the core material below 0.00075 mmpy. The shot shells include a shot charge that includes a plurality of the projectiles.

Multiple embodiments of a system are disclosed for defeating enemy missiles and rockets by the use of a non-lethal cloud of pellets that collide with the missile a certain distance away from the target causing premature detonation of the missile, and/or possible severe damage to the missile, and/or deflection of the missile, and/or a deformation to the ogive cones to cause a short in the fuze circuit, and/or deposition of conductive material to cause a short in the fuze circuit.
