    摘要: In a separate linear encoder, a scale is further provided with an ABS track that is arranged in parallel with an INC track and a detection head includes an ABS detection portion that reads the ABS track. The separate linear encoder includes a calculation portion that obtains a yaw angle of the detection head with respect to a scale based on a gap between an INC detection portion and an ABS detection portion and a difference amount between a position value of the INC track, which is detected by the INC detection portion, and a position of the ABS track, which is detected by the ABS detection portion. The calculation portion also obtains a signal strength based on two-phase sine wave signals that are output from the INC detection portion. The separate linear encoder further includes a display device that displays a plurality of yaw angles and the signal strengths corresponding to the respective yaw angles.

    摘要: To provide a protective coat on a refrigerated sample collector for a corrosive environment a unitary frame includes a support unit with condenser and evaporator coils mounted to the support unit and an orifice connecting the condenser and evaporator coils. The evaporator coils, condenser coils and restrictor are powder coated after being connected, whereby an effective seal is provided for the restrictor, condenser coils and evaporator coils after they are assembled to the support. The unitary frame can be easily removed or connected as a unit to the sample collector. A peristaltic pump may be used for drawing at least one sample into the refrigerated sample collector and depositing said sample into at least one sample bottle. The peristaltic pump may include contoured tube guides to reduce movement of the peristaltic pump as a roller paddle rotates.

    摘要: An absolute encoder employs multiple sub-encoders of different resolutions and a linking algorithm for combining the sub-encoder outputs to form an accurate, high-resolution position estimate. The sub-encoders can utilize edge modulation of a main grating track, sloped patterns of successively higher periods, and other types of scale patterns. The sub-encoders can also use a variety of detector types suitable for the patterns being used. In one linking approach, pairs of tracks are linked together successively by applying a phase shift to the coarser track and then combining it with the finer track such that the transitions of the coarse track estimates become aligned with those of the finer track, whereupon the values can be combined to form a linked position estimate. In another approach, beat tracks are calculated from physical tracks of similar period, and the beat tracks are used as the coarser tracks in the linking process.

    摘要: A method for position determination of a rotating drive element with the aid of a measuring system is indicated, which comprises an absolute and an incremental measuring subsystem. Here, following the start of a rotary movement, absolute position measurement values are continuously determined and transmitted to a subordinated evaluation unit until a reference marking at a known absolute position has been reached. A comparison of the measurement values, known from the continuing absolute position measurement, with the known absolute position and, if required, a necessary correction, take place at the reference marking. Thereafter the reference marking is used as the reference position for the incremental measuring subsystem, the continuously absolute position is determined on the part of the measuring system and is transmitted in digital form to the evaluation unit (FIG. 1).

    摘要: Systems are described for converting the angular position of a shaft or an axle of a rotary motor to an analog or a digital code indicative of the angular position. The systems may include a magnetic disk encoded with first magnetic transitions and second magnetic transitions, where the first magnetic transitions are on a first circumference of the magnetic disk, the second magnetic transitions are on a second circumference of the magnetic disk, the first magnetic transitions represent regions on the magnetic disk, and the second magnetic transitions represent locations on the magnetic disk within each of the regions. The systems may include a first sensor to detect a region based on the first magnetic transitions and a second sensor to detect a location based on the second magnetic transitions. The systems may also include a decoder to identify an absolute location on the magnetic disk based on the region detected by the first sensor and the location detected by the second sensor.
