    摘要: A non-pressurized fluid level shutoff system for a fuel tank includes a fuel receiver having a flow control valve that opens in a direction opposite a direction of fuel flow, and that cannot be manually overridden. A fuel sensor funnels fuel through a fuel jet outlet orifice to form a stream of fuel across a cutout section, and a supplemental peripheral port connected between an outlet orifice mixing chamber and the interior of the tank is oriented perpendicular to the stream of fuel across the cutout section, to interfere with the stream of fuel when the sensor is submerged in fuel in the tank, to further reduce any residual fluid flow signal when the sensor is fully submerged, allowing the flow control valve in the receiver to close completely.

    摘要: The present invention is directed to an apparatus and method for flow regulation of planarization fluids to a semiconductor wafer planarization machine. In one embodiment, the regulating system includes a fluid storage tank with an acoustic fluid level sensor. The storage tank is connected to a fluid delivery line that delivers planarization fluid to the storage tank through a flow control valve and delivers a regulated flow of planarization fluid to a planarization machine through a flow sensor. A gas supply system is connected to the storage tank to provide system pressurization. Regulation of the fluid flow is achieved by a control system in which the flow sensor and the acoustic fluid level sensor comprise feedback elements in a closed feedback system to independently control the pressure in the storage tank and the fluid admitted by the control valve. In an alternate embodiment, the fluid level sensor is comprised of capacitive proximity sensors located outside the wall of the storage tank. In another embodiment, the fluid level sensor is replaced by a buoyant float that can seat in the upper or lower ends of the storage tank and a differential pressure sensor that senses differences in storage tank pressure when the float is seated in either of these locations to indicate full or empty tank conditions. In still another aspect, two or more regulators may be joined in a parallel flow arrangement in order to achieve precise point-of-use mixing of multi-component planarization fluids.

    摘要: An indicator providing visual information of the level of bulk material in a bin has rotatable visual members with bright and dark colored surfaces covered with a transparent lens. A actuator located within the bin is operatively coupled to the visual members to turn the visual member to an ON position exposing the bright colored surface to a person when bulk material engages the actuator and to an OFF position exposing the dark colored surface to a person when the actuator is free of bulk material whereby the person can determine the level of the bulk material in the bin. The visual members are also provided with a device that triggers a sensor that activates a remote indicator providing data as to the level of bulk material in the bin.

    摘要: The fluidic liquid level indicating system is operable to provide an audible alarm such as a tapping or buzzer sound to indicate when liquid in a vessel has descended to a certain level above the bottom of the vessel. This result is obtained by having a fluid line opening into the vessel at a predetermined point above the bottom thereof and by having a specified gas pressure in the fluid line which is sufficient at a certain head pressure of liquid above the open end of the fluid line to allow bubbles of gas to escape from the fluid line through the liquid in the vessel. The escape of bubbles causes pressure changes in the fluid line and these pressure changes are utilized via a turbulence amplifier and a pilot operated fluid switch to cause intermittent operation of a piston and cylinder device which drives a striker against a stop.

    摘要: An apparatus for sensing and indicating the presence of a particular condition such as, for example, the level of a liquid within a container. Said apparatus includes a sensor means or a probe suitably positioned such as within the container. When the particular condition is sensed, such as a predetermined change of liquid level within the container, the sensor means or probe produces and/or transmits a suitable input signal such as a fluid input signal to a non-bleed amplification valve separated into a plurality of passages and chambers by a force responsive means arrangement such as a diaphragm arrangement. The force responsive means arrangement, passages and chambers in cooperation with one another and with a supply of fluid under pressure provide an amplified fluid output signal (relative to the magnitude of the fluid input signal) in response to the presence of the fluid input signal. The fluid input signal is cyclically generated upon continued application of the input signal and, thus, the apparatus functions as a pneumatic oscillator. The apparatus includes means for controlling the cycling period of said output signal. The fluid output signal may be applied, for example, to an audio alarm for indicating that the liquid in the container has reached the aforestated predetermined level. The valve assembly does not expend any fluid energy or require the input of any power when same is in a quiescent state.

    摘要: An indicator for detecting the sufficiency or insufficiency of oil level in the sump of a vehicle engine, wherein detection is dependent upon the creation of a vacuum between a ball valve device within the engine and an external vacuum source. If the oil level is sufficient, operation of the vacuum source causes the ball to close the valve device whereby the required vacuum is created and detected. If the oil level is insufficient, the valve device remains open, even if the vacuum source is operated (that is, the ball stays off its valve seat) so that the required vacuum is not created and this fact can be detected upon operation of the vacuum source.
