    摘要: A method of detecting outliers in measured values of a measurand is disclosed, comprising the steps of: based on training data determining a combined distribution of differences between individual measured values and the filtered value of the measured value preceding the respective individual measured value to be expected in the application where the method is applied based on difference distribution of first differences of the filtered values of the measured values and a noise distribution of noise included in the measured values. Next, new measured values are identified as outliers when a probability of occurrence of a difference between the respective new measured value and the filtered value of the preceding measured value according to the combined distribution is lower than a predetermined level of confidence.

    摘要: To show an image with minimal sense of discomfort felt by an occupant without quickening an updating cycle of an on-screen image, a virtual data generator making up a vehicle meter indicator device generates virtual data based on an arbitrary engine rotation speed between an engine rotation speed proportional to an image currently shown on a liquid crystal display device and a latest engine rotation speed rather than display data based on the latest engine rotation speed immediately before updating if the engine rotation speed declines. This allows the liquid crystal display device to show the generated virtual data on a liquid crystal panel as a virtual image for updating.

    摘要: A method is provided for making multiple environmental measurements using a single sensing element. Each sensing element (sensel) includes a thin-film transistor (TFT) and a passive element. Typically, a plurality of sensels is provided arranged into an array. In response to an electrical stimulus, an electrical measurement is supplied that is responsive to a change in TFT electrical characteristic correlated to a first environmental condition, as well as a change in a characteristic of the passive element correlated to a second environmental condition. When the sensels are formed in an array, a plurality of electrical measurements is supplied corresponding plurality of locations on a monitored surface. Some exemplary environmental conditions include temperature, pressure, moisture, chemicals, oxygen, solution pH, salinity, and shear. The method determines the first environmental condition independent of the second environmental condition, while determining the second environmental condition independent of the first environmental condition.

    摘要: The embodiments described herein can provide a variable reluctance sensor (VRS) interface that may reduce the probability of erroneous transitions in a resulting generated detect signal. As such, the VRS interface can improve the accuracy of position and/or motion determinations, and thus can improve the performance of a wide variety of devices that use variable reluctance sensors. To facilitate this, the VRS interface includes a pre-processing circuit configured to modify a VRS signal to prevent the modified VRS signal from dropping below a threshold value and generating erroneous transitions in the detect signal pulse between leading and lagging edges of a tooth. In one embodiment the pre-processing circuit comprises a peak and hold circuit. In another embodiment the pre-processing circuit comprises a resistor-capacitor circuit. In either case the pre-processing circuit can prevent erroneous transitions in the detect signal and thus may improve the performance and accuracy of the system.
