Abstract:
Disclosed is a monitoring probe for observing groundwater, which is put into an observation well for observing the groundwater to indicate a position of a fresh water-salt water interface of the groundwater. According to the present invention, both ends of a probe body are separated from an inner circumference of an observation well by a catch preventing portion having a convex curved portion or a dumbbell-shaped portion, so that the probe body can be smoothly moved up and down without being caught by a ground-water inlet port of the observation well, thus providing an exact position of a fresh water-salt water interface.
Abstract:
A milk meter for measuring a flow rate of a milk flow with an inlet and an outlet a liquid flow path from the inlet to the outlet, a stabilization chamber in the liquid flow path and a float in the stabilization chamber configured to float on milk the milk meter is configured so a level of milk in the stabilization chamber depends on the flow rate of the milk flow, and is provided with a magnetic unit in the stabilization chamber, the magnetic field varies in a height direction of the stabilization chamber, an electronic measuring unit is arranged in the float for measuring the strength of the magnetic field, the strength is a measure of the height within the stabilization chamber at which the float is floating on the milk and the strength of the magnetic field is a measure of the flow rate of the milk flow.

A smart electronic float includes: an accelerometer, sensing a movement distance, a movement velocity, movement power, and a sinking gravity of the smart electronic float in water, to produce a corresponding plurality of pieces of float movement data; a microcontroller, receiving the float movement data sensed by the accelerometer; a first wireless communications device, where the microcontroller transmits the float movement data to an electronic device through the first wireless communications device, and receives a light-emitting diode (LED) on/off signal from the electronic device; and an LED, where on/off of the LED is controlled by the microcontroller according to the LED on/off signal.
Abstract:
A potentiometric sensor, comprising: a potentiometer track; a collector track opposite the potentiometer track; a conductive magnetic cushion slider coupled to the potentiometer track and the collector track; and a sealed body housing the potentiometer track, the collector track, and the conductive magnetic cushion is disclosed. The potentiometric sensor may provide a variable output voltage indicative of a level of liquid in a container. The output voltage of the potentiometric sensor may be based on a position of a magnet, which may determine a position of the conductive magnetic cushion. The magnet may be outside of the sealed body. As the sensor will be more cost effective and less space consuming, the totally sealed sensor incorporating the conductive magnetic cushion may replace many applications that allow a hysteresis of less than 1 mm. Additionally, these applications may be used on rotary systems.

A system for fossil fuel byproduct management is claimed which includes a computer for receiving and recording volume measurements of one or more fossil fuel liquid byproducts among a plurality of fossil fuel liquid byproducts located within a storage container and a transmitter operable by the computer to transmit the volume measurements to a data collection location. A method of use for the same, which includes monitoring byproduct volumes and recording information relating to releases is also claimed.
Abstract:
A system for determining the quantity of a liquid agricultural product available for spraying on a field from a tank in an airplane comprising a payload storage tank for holding the agricultural product, an elongated magnetostrictive linear displacement transducer tube located vertically in the aircraft payload storage tank, a probe float slidably coupled to move up or down on the elongated magnetostrictive linear displacement transducer tube, and a permanent magnet coupled to the probe float. The position of the magnet is sensed by the elongated magnetostrictive linear displacement transducer tube which generates a signal that marks the level of the liquid in the aircraft payload storage tank, and converter means converts the generated signal that marks the level of the liquid in the aircraft payload storage tank to a quantity of liquid in the aircraft payload storage tank which is displayed to the pilot.
Abstract:
A magnetic flux position sensor includes a primary coil, a secondary coil, and a magnetic flux conductor. The primary coil generates a magnetic flux and the secondary coil senses magnetic flux. The primary and secondary coils are substantially concentric and spaced apart by an annular passage. The annular passage has first and second ends, and the magnetic flux conductor is slidable from the first end to the second end of the annular passage. The magnetic flux transferred from the primary coil to the secondary coil varies as a function of position of the magnetic flux conductor.
