    Abstract: A method for determining depth of a material is disclosed. The method includes transmitting a signal from an antenna at a location. The signal includes a fundamental frequency and the signal penetrates ground under the location. The location is selected to locate a material at a depth under the location. The fundamental frequency matches a known resonant frequency of a resonant atom of a molecule of the material. The method includes detecting a reflected wave on the antenna, determining a time difference between transmission of the signal and detection of the reflected wave on the antenna, and determining the depth to the material based on the time difference and a reflected velocity corresponding to the resonant atom.

    Abstract: Repaired rotors are provided. The rotors are repaired by using an indenter apparatus for plastically straining original portions of the rotor and adjacent repair welds. The weld nugget, adjacent heat affected zones, and the adjacent parent-metal portions or new metal portions, are indented at a weld nugget and heat affected zone, to produce threshold levels of uniform plastic strain which meet or exceed plastic strain levels that provide, when the weld nugget and heat affected zone is heat treated, a recrystallized grain structure metallurgically comparable to the grain structure of the original parent-metal of the rotor. Repaired integrally bladed rotors for gas turbine engines, such as aircraft engines, are provided. Blades for gas turbine engines, including integrally bladed rotors, may be advantageously provided, having been manufactured or repaired as described.

    Abstract: A tread portion of a pneumatic tire includes a columnar wear measurement magnet that has magnetic flux density or magnetic field strength formed thereby decreased due to wear thereof along with wear of tread rubber of the tread portion and a columnar reference magnet provided at a position where the columnar reference magnet is not worn with the wear of the tread rubber. The wear measurement magnet and the reference magnet extend from a tread surface side toward a tire cavity region of the pneumatic tire, and an end of the reference magnet on the tread surface side is located farther from a tread surface where the tread portion contacts the ground than an end of the wear measurement magnet on the tread surface side.

    Abstract: An agricultural trench depth sensing system having a trench implement adapted to be disposed in a soil trench opened in a soil surface. In one embodiment an ultrasonic sensor detects a distance to an upper surface of said trench implement or a target disposed thereon. In another embodiment, said trench implement includes one or more fingers which rotate with respect to said trench implement to detect the soil surface relative to said trench implement.     Abstract: A tire tread detection apparatus and tire pressure detector setting apparatus with tire tread detection function are provided. The tire tread detection apparatus includes a body casing, a driving unit, a measuring member, a position member, and a sense member. The driving unit, the measuring member, and the positioning member are connected. The driving unit is applied for driving the measuring member to protrude outward from the body casing for measuring the tire tread depth of the tire. The sense member generates a measurement signal corresponding to the positioning member, such that the measurement signal indicates a tire tread depth value. Therefore, the tire tread depth is efficiently and accurately acquired.
