    摘要: A platform type weighing scale including a base and a scale platform and first and second pairs of platform suspensions for mounting the platform on the base at the four corners of a generally rectangular pattern, an elongated load sensing beam supported at spaced points therealong on the base, and first and second transfer means respectively interconnecting the first and second pairs of platform suspensions to the beam at a common point intermediate the spaced beam suspension points to apply a bending load to the beam correlative with the sum of the loads applied to the first and second pairs of platform suspensions, and electrical strain gauge means mounted on the load sensing beam for producing an electrical signal correlative with the bending stress produced in the beam as an indication of the total weight applied to the scale platform.

    摘要: A weigh scale apparatus in which forces caused by the applied load are transformed into moments of opposite sense and applied to opposite ends of a substantially rigid beam. Deflection of the beam is measured by centrally disposed strain gage resistors to produce an electrical signal quantity proportional to the applied load. The conversion of applied load to moments of opposite sense is accomplished by a pair of spaced parallel pivot members which are suspended by straps between the load receiving pan and the base such that the pivots tend to rotate in opposite directions. The beam is mechanically connected between the pivots such that it is subjected to the bending moment over substantially its entire length. A split scale device is provided by a composite pan, one portion of which is connected to the pivots directly and another portion of which is connected to the pivots through long lever arms to provide moment multiplication. A vibrator device for dithering the pivots is provided. .Iadd.

    摘要: A high sensitivity wide range microbalance suspension in which a top loading pan joined to a force coil coupled vertical support is coupled with low hysteresis torsion ribbon pivot elements to parallel spaced-apart planar beam arms, the arms joined also with torsion ribbon pivot elements and reaction force absorbing spring loaded screws remote from the vertical support to a fixed frame thereby defining a deformable parallelogram suspension arrangement which provides asymmetric pan loading compensation. Movable support coupled stop elements travel within fixed surfaces on the frame to limit travel of the pan while allowing measurement of a mass beyond yield strength limitations of the ribbon elements by providing negligible moment about the vertical support coupled ribbon elements.
