    摘要: The luggage scale strap attaches to a luggage item as a shoulder strap. The luggage scale strap weighs the luggage item, detects changes in the weight of the luggage item, and alerts an appropriate authority when a weight change has been detected by the luggage scale strap in the luggage item. The presumption of the disclosure at bar is that a weight change in the luggage item indicates to the appropriated authority that something has been inappropriately added to or removed from the luggage item. The luggage scale strap comprises a shoulder strap, a control circuit, a personal data device, and the luggage item. The shoulder strap contains the control circuit. The shoulder strap attaches to the luggage item. The control circuit monitors the weight of the luggage item. The control circuit notifies the appropriate authority about weight changes in the luggage item through the personal data device.

    摘要: A magneto-elastically-based active force sensor, used with a tow coupling between a towed and a towing vehicle or a coupling between a vehicle body and a suspension of the vehicle, which outputs a signal useful for determining forces acting on the coupling. The outputted force information may be provided by processor-enabled embedded software algorithms that take inputs from the force sensor and other sensors, may be used by one or more vehicle systems during operating of the vehicle, such as engine, braking, stability, safety, and informational systems. The force sensor includes directionally-sensitive magnetic field sensing elements inside the sensor, and shielding may be used around the sensors to reduce the influence of external magnetic fields on the sensing elements. The force sensor may be used with different tow and vehicle weight sensing coupling devices installed on different types of automobile cars and trucks.

    摘要: Weighing and filling apparatus for controlling filling device based on a container weight. A linear actuator for driving a drive shaft coupled to container support unit is included, a weight measuring unit determines the container weight from a detected height of the drive shaft detected by a height detecting unit and a drive signal of the linear actuator at the detected height. A first acceleration signal is calculated from a specified height of the container support unit set in advance and the height detected by the height detecting unit, a second acceleration signal is calculated from the container weight and an expected weight expected to be applied to the container support unit. The container support unit is kept at the specified height by a drive signal calculated from the first and second acceleration signals.

    摘要: A sensor system for a conveyor belt comprising a sensor stage on the conveyor belt and a stationary drive and detection stage external to the conveyor belt in the belt carryway. In an exemplary version, the sensor stage includes a capacitor sensor whose capacitance varies with the weight of a load atop a pressure platform at the belt's conveying surface. An oscillator in the drive and detection stage drives the capacitor sensor through capacitors formed when plates in the sensor stage in the advancing conveyor belt overlap stationary plates in the drive and detection stage during the belt's passage along the carryway. The corresponding plates in the belt and the carryway have different longitudinal dimensions to ensure constant plate overlap area of longer duration and despite lateral belt-tracking offset. The drive and detection stage detects the capacitance of the sensor and converts it into a weight value.
